Legacy Audio launched the Talos (mains) and Outkast (subs) at AXPONA 2026, reflecting Legacy Audio’s continued progression in fully integrated loudspeaker design.
Positioned between the Aeris and flagship Legacy Audio Valor, Talos carries forward Legacy’s design philosophy with a stronger focus on real-world adaptability. It’s a self-powered floorstanding system with 3,000W of internal amplification, driven by the Wavelet II processor for room correction, time alignment, and system integration. The intent is simple: deliver reference-level performance without letting the room or setup get in the way.
The driver layout reflects that balance. Dual AMTs handle the highs with speed and extension, while a 12” coaxial anchors the midrange with focus and coherence. A dedicated 12” mid-bass driver fills in the body, and dual 12” subwoofers with passive radiators bring scale and authority down to 16Hz. A full-range system that comes together as one, shaped by Bill Dudleston’s continued focus on controlled directivity and consistency in real rooms.
What defines Talos is how it’s been conceived - composure, control, and scale. It clearly carries cues from the flagship Legacy Audio Valor, not just in form, but in intent. You see that same pursuit of integration, design language, and authority, translated into something that works across a wider range of rooms and systems.
For those building serious listening rooms or hybrid spaces where performance and integration both matter, this is one to pay attention to.
