Open from Wednesday-Saturday from 10am until 5pm. Baker Allegan Studios is located in the Historic Milling District of Downtown Allegan. This Historic building was originally built by Baker Furniture Factories in 1906
and operated as their warehouse and shipping facility until 1933 when they moved operations to Holland Michigan. When we purchased the building in 2006, it was condemned and approved for demolition. We restored the building ourselves and opened the Gallery in December 2008 and have been growing ever since. The Fiber Arts Studio of Sow Spun Silk, providing Weaving Classes and Supplies for the Weaving and Spinning Arts. We sell Schacht, Kromski Weaving Looms and Spinning Wheels and LeClerc Looms, Glimakra supplies and a nice selection of Roving and Books on the subjects. We are unique in the fact that we have 2 Weavers Delight Looms, built by the Newcomb Loom Co. These are semi-automatic looms that our customers can weave a Rag Rug with no experience or classes, with all materials provided.
