Being Organized in Style
Experts say that being organized is excellent for a person’s mental health. We would like to add that being organized in style is an even better mood-lifter. In an article in Psychology Today, the editors say the many mental benefits of decluttering include the fact that clearing your home clears your mind and that having more space brings more positive energy. It’s a tradition! Join us for market’s favorite in-person and hands-on event. Our expert bonsai guide, Brownlee Currey, will show market attendees how to create a bonsai from the very beginning. Selecting a tree seedling, preparing and potting the bonsai along with learning how to care for and trim the bonsai will be taught. A variety of dramatic bonsai will be displayed throughout the showroom.

Interiors as Autobiographies | Read our blog: https://bit.ly/4dfDzCB We came across a fascinating article recently by the editors of the Salone del Mobile blog. The piece explores interiors as autobiographies through the lens of three independent magazines, including Cabana, one we regard as among the most innovative in the industry. The iSaloni editors explain that they “view the home not as a model to be imitated, but as a portrait of those who live there.” They add, “The home thus becomes less an exercise in style and more a form of self-portrait.”

Floral Artistry in the Home | Read our blog: https://bit.ly/floral-artistry In a wonderful exploration titled “Desire and Design,” the Royal Ontario Museum highlights the beginnings of the popularity of floral artistry in the home. “In the 1700s, plants, flowers, and floral motifs were powerful symbols of social standing in European societies,” its curators explain. “The prestige associated with florals was a product of European imperialist ambitions and global trade at the time. The French, Dutch, and English East India Companies, among others, imported spices, tea, and luxury goods that, for the most part, were only affordable to the elite and rising merchant classes.
