A full size snooker table, late 19th century, completely restored. New rubber rails and new professional English cloth (with nap). The restoration was done by a professional snooker table mechanic Martin Rabbets that was brought from England to do the work.

Georges-François Alix settled at 46 rue de Charonne and moved to 6 bis rue Richard Lenoir in 1878. Exhibited at the Paris Expositions of 1884, 1885, and 1889. He supplied bronze mounts to several makers including François Linke.
Georges-Francois Alix French Marble Top & Ormolu Commode, in the Louis XIV taste, surmounted by a Breche Violette Marble Top (expertly restored) containg two drawers in the frieze with greek key ornamentation (spring activated release by secret button). Two doors with parquetry panels enclosed in gilt bronze frame and centered by urn shaped mounts depicting shells, flanked by two projecting reeded columns. The inside fitted with a single shelf, cabinet raised on four square feet. France, circa 1870.

Large neoclassical style marble and gilt bronze circular movement mantel clock. French, late 19th century. This unusually large mantel clock is a superb piece of neoclassical design. The clock features a beautiful Rouge marble vase-shaped case, which houses its circular movement. The vase is set above a plinth form base, which is inset with gilt bronze relief panels of cherubs. The clock throughout is set with
superb gilt bronze mounts, including the twin snake handles and the leaf-form motifs along the belly of the vase-form case. Strikingly, the plinth, in addition to supporting the vase above, also supports a patinated bronze cherub, whose reaching arm serves to indicate the time. The
movement is a superb piece of clock making, while the case demonstrates the very best of 19th century French design.

Le Roy & Fils (French 1785), Baroque Revival parcel gilt bronze mounted and mixed marble mantel clock, mid-19th century, having a foliate finial, domed hood with plaque reading “1640” supported by dolphins, dial with Roman numerals with fleur de lis spandrels, and rising on acanthus decorated bun feet, the dial marked for Le Roy & Fils, 211 Regent Street, mechanism with 1860 Medaille d’ Bronze for Samuel Marti et Cie (French, 1841-), 1867 Medaille d’ Or for Georges Emile Henri Servant (French 1828-c. 1890), and “1246”. Note: Leroy & Fils opened their first store at 296 Regent Street in 1854, was at 211 Regent Street sometime prior to 1866 and acquired 213 Regent Street by 1845.
