Le Roy & Fils (French 1785), Baroque Revival parcel gilt bronze mounted and mixed marble mantel clock, mid-19th century, having a foliate finial, domed hood with plaque reading “1640” supported by dolphins, dial with Roman numerals with fleur de lis spandrels, and rising on acanthus decorated bun feet, the dial marked for Le Roy & Fils, 211 Regent Street, mechanism with 1860 Medaille d’ Bronze for Samuel Marti et Cie (French, 1841-), 1867 Medaille d’ Or for Georges Emile Henri Servant (French 1828-c. 1890), and “1246”. Note: Leroy & Fils opened their first store at 296 Regent Street in 1854, was at 211 Regent Street sometime prior to 1866 and acquired 213 Regent Street by 1845.
