Our clients trust us with one of their most meaningful investments, their home. That trust is something we honor with an unwavering attention to detail. Because in design, as in life, it is the details that matter most, and who you trust with them matters even more.

The best bathrooms are designed to feel effortless. But that sense of ease is rarely accidental.

In this nationally award-winning renovation, the bathroom was designed with the same level of intention as the rest of the home. Soft coastal influence, tailored cabinetry, polished finishes, layered lighting, and thoughtful storage all work together to create a space that feels refined, relaxed, and highly functional.

It is not overly ornate. It is not overly minimal. It lives in the balance.

A bathroom should support the daily rituals of a home while still offering a sense of pause. In this project, every element was considered to create a room that feels both beautiful and easy to live with.

It is a space designed not only to be seen, but to be used, lived in, and appreciated in the quiet moments of daily life.

There’s a warmth to this powder bath that draws you in, with unexpected details that invite you to look a little closer.

Nothing feels overwhelming or overly styled. Just a beautiful sense of comfort, character, and ease.

It begins with understanding how the home needs to live. How the rooms connect. Where the flow should feel more natural.

Where the architecture needs structure. Where storage can be integrated beautifully. Where comfort, craftsmanship, and function need to work together quietly.

This home, originally built in 2008, was reimagined by Twelve Stones Designs and Realty Restoration and went on to earn Local, Regional, and National NARI Remodeler of the Year Awards in 2021, 2022, 2025 & 2026.

That recognition is incredibly meaningful, but the work begins long before an award is ever considered.

The goal was to create a home that felt polished, relaxed, and deeply livable, with a tailored coastal sensibility carried through layered textures, custom millwork, structured architectural details, thoughtful storage solutions, and finishes that feel fresh without becoming too formal.

Every decision had to support the way the homeowners wanted to live.

That is what makes a redesign award-worthy to me.

Not simply that it photographs beautifully, but that it functions beautifully, moves beautifully, and continues to feel considered long after the project is complete.

There’s nothing I love more in design than details that support daily living. They should be just as beautiful as the moments they serve.

Glass-front storage, organized w**e display, and thoughtfully planned drawers bring both function and refinement into this space.

Every material and every placement has a purpose, creating a room that feels polished without losing ease.

This is where thoughtful planning becomes part of the home’s everyday rhythm.

Experience changes what you see.

It changes how you listen.
How you plan.
How you anticipate what a space will need before a client even knows to ask.

Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of designing kitchens, baths, and whole-home interiors that have gone on to receive local, regional, and national recognition. I have earned advanced certifications, built relationships with trusted industry partners, contributed to award-winning projects, and continued to refine a process rooted in detail, function, and deeply personal design.

But what I am most proud of is not only the awards or the features.

It is the trust.

The trust clients place in me when they invite me into their homes, share how they live, and ask me to help them create spaces that will support their families for years to come.
This industry has taught me that good design is never just about what looks beautiful.

It is about knowing what will work.

What will last.
What will make daily life easier.
What will feel timeless instead of temporary.
And what details need to be considered long before construction begins.

That kind of clarity only comes with experience.

And after all these years, I am still grateful for the opportunity to do this work, to keep learning, to keep elevating the process, and to help homeowners create spaces that feel as thoughtful as they are beautiful.

A beautiful home isn’t defined by its focal points alone.
It’s the quiet moments between them that create a lasting impression.

An entryway that welcomes instead of overwhelms. A hallway that feels collected rather than cluttered. Thoughtfully layered lighting, art, texture, and furnishings that guide you effortlessly from one space to the next.

These transitions aren’t empty spaces to fill.

They’re opportunities to create calm, continuity, and a sense of belonging.

When every room feels connected, home becomes more than beautiful.

It becomes a place that restores you.

The best time to design for changing needs? Before you have to.

What if a bathroom designed for changing needs could feel like a retreat - not a reminder of what might change?

This shower wasn’t designed in response to a crisis. It was designed proactively- creating a space that feels beautiful and natural today while offering additional comfort and support for the future.

The accessibility is quietly woven into the room: a curbless entrance, strategically placed grab bars, a comfortable place to rest and a niche tucked beside the bench, within easy reach, but hidden from view.

Nothing feels clinical. The wood-look tile, pebble floor and matte black fixtures create the warm, organic rustic feeling the homeowners wanted.
That is the heart of universal design. It isn’t about predicting limitation. It is about giving your future self more options without sacrificing what you love today.

Beautiful storage is not simply about hiding things away.

For this project, every storage decision was shaped around how the clients live and entertain. They needed room for everyday essentials, large serving pieces, crystal, china, linens, party supplies, beverages, and the tools that support frequent hosting.

Rather than forcing those needs into standard cabinetry, the storage was designed around them.

A pull-out pantry, double-stacked cutlery drawer, spice storage, custom knife block, cutting board unit, liquor drawer, and illuminated display cabinetry all work together to create a kitchen that feels organized without feeling utilitarian.

The result is not just more storage. It is better storage.

Designed with intention, integrated into the architecture, and refined enough to feel like part of the beauty of the room.

Universal Design should never feel like a compromise.

For this primary bath remodel, the homeowners wanted to make thoughtful updates that would allow them to age in place as comfortably as possible, while still creating a bathroom that felt sophisticated, elegant, and personal.

That balance was important.

We incorporated Universal Design elements in a way that supported long-term independence without making the space feel clinical. The ensuite also needed to function beautifully for each client’s individual grooming habits, which meant planning more intentional point-of-use storage at the vanity.

Every decision had to support the way the homeowners live now, while anticipating how their needs may evolve over time.
To me, that is where thoughtful bathroom design becomes deeply meaningful.

It is not only about creating a beautiful space. It is about creating one that responds to the people who use it, with elegance, ease, and lasting intention.

Not every meaningful space in a home needs to be a room.

Sometimes it’s simply a chair tucked beside a window. A place to read for twenty minutes, have your coffee in the morning, or sit somewhere other than the sofa at the end of the day.

What makes a small corner like this inviting isn’t any one piece.

It’s the way everything works together - the natural light, a comfortable place to put your feet up, a table within reach, and layers of pattern and texture that make it feel collected rather than overly composed.

These smaller moments can be easy to overlook when you’re thinking about a home as a whole. But they’re often the ones that make it feel most like yours.
