I've been doing market research for the new direction I'm taking Thread & Kindness, and I've had a couple of people mention something I wasn't expecting.

They don't like seeing AI-generated product images from handmade businesses.

And initially I could've just thought, well, I'm only using them to show ideas or create pretty marketing graphics.

But the more I've thought about it... they're right about something that matters to me.

Trust.

If I'm asking you to spend your money on something I've handmade, I never want you wondering whether what you're looking at actually exists.

I hold myself to really high standards with what I make, and I want my marketing to reflect that too.

So I'm changing something.

As I build this new cozy-home collection, you're going to see the real thing.

The real fabric. The real prototypes. The mistakes. My actual kitchen. My actual sewing room. And the actual finished product you'll receive.

AI might still help me behind the scenes because I'm running this whole freaking business by myself 😂, but when I'm showing you something I'm asking you to buy, I want you to see what I actually made.

And honestly? That's exactly why I did this survey.

I didn't ask you guys to tell me what I wanted to hear.

I asked because I wanted to build Thread & Kindness with you.

And sometimes that means hearing something that makes me change how I'm doing things.

I think I’m in fabric trouble

Susie has officially got her life together before I have. 😂

She's been fed.
She's in a clean jar.
She's got her cute little outfit on.

Meanwhile I'm over here with my crack in a glass trying to become a functioning human being. 😂

Honestly, this is exactly the direction I want Thread & Kindness to go.

Not just “look, I made a jar sleeve.”

But little handmade things that become part of the everyday stuff you're already doing.

Feeding your sourdough starter.
Making your morning drink.
Baking something for your family.
Curling up with a book later.

Normal life… just a little cozier and a little cuter. 🤎

And apparently that means Susie now has a wardrobe.

She's handling it well. I fear this may go to her head. 😂

Sourdough girlies, does your starter have a name? Because I need to know I'm not the only person emotionally attached to a jar of fermented flour. 👇

A little Friday reminder that progress doesn’t always show up as an order notification. 🤎

Because if we’re measuring this week purely by sales…

well.

We made $0. 😂

Not exactly the small-business success story Instagram ordered.

And obviously I WANT sales. I’m not going to pretend I don’t. This is a business and I would very much like it to make money. 😂

But there were still some little wins this week.

I kept showing up.

I started looking at how I’m showing my products instead of immediately deciding the products are the problem.

I introduced you to Susie and discovered that apparently my sourdough starter now needs a wardrobe.

I’ve been my crack in a glass consistently and I’m starting to notice I’ve lost 2lbs 6oz this week. No more 2pm crash, s**t I need a nap 🤣

And probably the biggest one:

I’m learning not to let a quiet week convince me that nothing is working.

So no, this wasn’t a big money week.

But we’re still here.

Still making.

Still figuring it out.

And still finding little ways to make everyday life a bit cuter. 🤎

Tell me one tiny win you had this week. I want to celebrate yours too. If you want to know also how I got my win comment DUO

A hectic week at work but we are making it happen. Even with some go go juice in hand

As business owners we have to remember to be patient with ourselves and trust that it will work out! This is easier said than done I know, but it's just what we have to do!
This is why building a community is so important!
