It's too early I can hear some if you say. However when one has an open house on the eve of the 25th of this month you have to get in gear. This is a fairly big place to decorate so it is usually done in stages. We find that easier than having one frantic week. Heck as early as everything arrives in stores anymore I'm predicting a time where a Santa with a patriotic top hat riding a pumpkin sleigh full of hearts and shamrocks
being pulled by bats a turkey and a rabbit will be a hot seller . It's probably a million dollar idea πŸ˜ƒ I'm tempted to make one πŸ˜‚

Sweet Annie might be ready. However if you just aren't sure cut a small piece and check it within 24 hours to see if you like how it dries. I usually cut mine over a 7 to 10 day span so a day doesn't matter. Fun fact if you are cutting or working with sweet Annie while freshly cut it's very strong. That is also the time that ANYONE who is allergic or hates it will decide to show up πŸ˜†

Proof they don't make appliances like they used too! This 100 year old copper tub washer with wringer still works!! ($300). It might come haunted with remnants of spooky laundry though. This corner of the shop is "Scooby do" scary, not Scrappy. I never cared for him 😐.

Nothing to see here people, just putting together a mummy and ghoul laundry as one does 😁

Another corner decorated ☺️. The old ladder back chair now has a scarecrow on it. The antique nail keg beside it holds corn tops. The dried pumpkin head is on top of a tomato cage and his burlap feed sack "shirt" hides it. This was fun to put together. Now on to another part of the shop

Randy has been bringing in some interesting things he's been making. His latest endeavor is carved bone rings. You can't exactly size bone so you would have to try them on. Of course these would be cool hanging on a necklace too. $38.00 each. To see this and so much more on a pretty day ( FINALLY) stop in today from 11 to 5. Reminder I'm not shipping anything this month.
