Good morning! I finished up another reproduction "parade set". It consists of the top hat ( lined with old newsprint) and the faux flag styled apron. $80. The shop is stuffed full of all kinds of antique finds and our creations to blend with your antique primitive decor. Today I'm taming the gardens and bringing more in the shop, or at least until it gets too hot, yesterday was brutal!

I'm doing something kinda stupid business wise. I'm taking up a small amount of shop space for this weekend only to display some West Baltimore/Verona items I collect. If you are local I think you might enjoy looking through this. Verona is having a celebration on Saturday, the Bank house Cafe will be open for breakfast, Katz will be open the afternoon and evening, lunch wagons and more are in the park and I'll be open as always. Just thought I'd share

Uncle Sam ( made from a 1940s ashtray butler $60) looks rather spiffy against the huge 45 star flag. I'm trying to find my ambition fairy once again. Every so often she just flutters off for awhile. I'm hoping she returns soon. In the meantime I think another cup of coffee is in order. She seems to be attracted by coffee 🧚

I might have to rename the place Wren world. I have Carolina wrens building in my sprinking cans and a house wren checking out every other possible place to nest that's inconvenient for me. As he's making a huge ruckus by my screen door I wonder how such a small bird has such a big voice . Don't get me wrong, I love the wrens around, but this little fella is extra hyper this morning. He must be in love and trying to impress his mate.

I'm now sold out of hypertufa houses ( thanks so much). I'm highlighting a project I did several years ago, the table top garden. The metal patio table had lost its glass top, I added supports to hold the screen and filled it with dirt. The little creeping sedum spreads, doesn't need much water and is quite carefree. It's an easy way to have a portable miniature garden.

Collaborative effort, I found the 1960s boy bike and had the sign idea, Randy installed the sign and baskets and Logan did the lettering based on originals. Isn't it cute? $145.00. Btw, we have summer snow .. cottonwood fluff is "snowing" down
