Directions

Antique sales, plant sales in spring, custom folkart, custom furniture (all styles) hardwood lumber sales. We opened Hardwood Lumber sales in late Sept, 2009.

We opened in 1986 on the family farm with the antique shop, my Mom has her shop open beside me (Baltimore House antiques opened in 1964). Randy started building custom furniture in 1990 and hasn't stopped since.

This week's agenda is storing Halloween away properly so I can find what I need next year, digging out Christmas items and raiding our small pane window stash to progress on the greenhouse. As I'm typing this my ambition fairy is NOWHERE to be found. I might have lost her when she saw my storage area for decorations ( it's a mess!) Hopefully she shows up later but you never know

Let's talk averages. My average customer is a woman over 45. It has always been that way even when I opened up at 21. My average customer likes flowers, nature, history and hand made items along with antiques. They apologize if they don't have cash and have to use a card ( I don't mind). They are encouraging and creative and love their homes. They don't care for AI, apps or gimmicks. I'm lucky enough that a lot are repeat customers. They are a demographic that corporations don't target but I'd be out of business without them. I guess this proves my type of business is not in the normal range and I wouldn't have it any other way

Happy November 1 😬! How it got so late in the year already I have no idea. I'm open today from 11 to 5 if you want to browse. There is always a wide variety to look through including old books! I still remember the thrill I got as a little girl during book fairs in school. I still like books. Screens are convenient but there is still nothing like a book.

May your day be "shiny and brite". I've been buying vintage Christmas collections all year and it's nice to start getting them in the shop. I'm in Halloween mode outside and other parts of the shop but this room is full on Christmas. I'm not shipping vintage Christmas or doing "holds" so feel free to stop in and browse. Open today from 11 to 5.
