I'm often asked what it was that sparked my interest in furniture making. Well this pic pretty much answers that. The skill it took to create this "shield" back chair by hand, with no electricity, no CNC, no AI, is inspiring to say the least. This chair sits in the American folk art museum in Williamsburg V.A.
