We buy and sell early American country antiques including cupboards, tables, and decorative accessories from the 18th through the end of the 19th century along with folk art, signs and architectural antiques.

Just a few finds this past week. Nice early primitive bench, unusual hanging cupboard in red paint, nice pair of iron brackets with birds, a marked Indian Lake footstool circa 1960, an Albany, NY iron cauldron, a knife box with half moon cutouts and a well used cheese basket with repairs. The bench and cupboard are in Greenwich. Everything else is in the Cambridge Antique Center, Cambridge, NY. Bench, cupboard and brackets SOLD.

Dropped a few more pieces at the Cambridge Antique Center, Cambridge, NY today. Stoneware jug is W. A. Lewis (1858-60) Galesville, NY, just 2 miles from my house in Greenwich. Dr Daniels Vet cabinet is in nice condition, but it has lost its original paint. Stop by the center and take a look.

A couple more smalls now in the Cambridge Antique Center. They include a mid 1900's child's pack basket, rare 19th century William Hare, Wilmington, DE stoneware canning jar, early 1900's firkin in spanish red/brown paint and a neat Bali carved and inlaid fabric hanger.

This circa 1930-40's sign came from a camp in the Adirondack Park. Applied metal lettering and hands. Some minor wear and couple of repairs to the points on the left side. Love the pointing fingers. Available at the Cambridge Antique Center, Cambridge, NY open daily 10-5 except Wednesday. SOLD

Just found this neat metal Groceries sign, circa 1930-40's, from a Hudson Falls, NY grocery store. Measures 42 inches wide and 8 3/4 inches tall. Just as it came out of the basement. Available at the Cambridge Antique Center, Cambridge, NY open daily 10-5 except Wednesday.

A couple of good early sap buckets with interlocking wood bands and a large (15 inch) thick walled pantry box with older gray paint over the original surface. Top band is solid, but had old break (see photo).

Neat old campsite sign from camp grounds at the north end of Lake George. Measures 66 inches by 24 inches. Metal on wood frame. Age related wear, some old touch ups. Available for pick up in Greenwich. $175
