A new roof, beautiful upgrades, and a whole new look for this Sunset Hills Country Club home! 🏡✨

After a tree fell on this home, we helped the homeowner through the insurance process and got to work bringing everything back to life.

The homeowner chose Atlas Pinnacle Pristine shingles in Black Shadow, paired with sleek black metal valleys. We also installed new TPO roofing on the flat section at the back of the house.

But one of our favorite details? That gorgeous new copper awning! 😍 The contrast between the shiny copper and dark shingles really makes this home stand out.

We couldn’t be happier with how everything came together!

🏠 Not every leaking roof needs to be replaced!

Sometimes, a proper repair is all it takes!

We recently helped a homeowner in Villa Rica, GA, who was dealing with a leak around her chimney. After getting on the roof, we discovered the problem: improper flashing from a roof replacement several years ago.

Unfortunately, the original roofing company was no longer in business.

Instead of recommending an entirely new roof, we fixed the problem! We installed ice and water shield, properly flashed the chimney, and replaced the surrounding shingles.

While we were up there, we also spotted a few plumbing boots that were beginning to deteriorate. They weren’t leaking yet, but we took care of those too!

Our goal isn’t to sell you a new roof if you don’t need one. It’s to help you get the most life out of the roof you already have.

💀 Something DEADLY is hiding on this roof! 👻

It’s called a DEAD VALLEY, and the damage it can cause is no joke!

When roof sections come together and water has nowhere to drain, it can lead to leaks, rotten decking, and even structural damage.

That’s exactly what happened to this homeowner! The damage was so extensive that rotted framing had to be replaced.

👻 The good news? A dead valley doesn’t have to be a nightmare! Proper waterproofing and drainage can help prevent costly damage.

A new roof, a fresh look, and protection built to last! 🏡🤎

This Carrollton, GA home just got a major exterior upgrade, and we are LOVING this color combination!

Here’s what went into this project:

🏠 New Roof: Atlas Pinnacle Pristine shingles in the NEW color Midnight Lake! The perfect blend of black and brown, giving this home a rich, sophisticated look that pairs beautifully with its exterior.

🖤 Black Metal Valleys: Not only do they look great, but they also help channel water off the roof in areas that are especially vulnerable to leaks.

💪 Maximum Protection: We installed Atlas WeatherMaster HP Flex ice and water shield across the ENTIRE roof for an added layer of protection against water intrusion.

🤎 New Gutter System: Complete with gutter guards in Dark Bronze for a clean, finished look that helps keep debris out and water flowing.

It’s the details you see AND the protection you don’t that make all the difference!

🏠 More than just a new roof. This is a story of community, generosity, and preserving history.

Founded in 1881, New Canaan Baptist Church in Temple, Georgia, has been a cornerstone of its community for 145 years.

When the church reached out to us about replacing its roof, we quickly learned that the cost was beyond its available budget. We knew we wanted to help make it happen.

Through the generosity of Atlas Roofing, the Community Foundation of West Georgia, and the dedication of the church’s own members, we were able to come together to give this historic church a much-needed new roof.

Atlas donated the shingles, Best Nest provided the installation, and a grant through the Lurleen V. Holland Memorial Fund, along with contributions from church members, helped make the project possible.

As New Canaan looks ahead to its 150th anniversary in 2031, we’re honored to play a small part in preserving a place that has meant so much to so many generations.

A huge thank-you to everyone who helped bring this project to life. This is what community is all about! ❤️

And as the words on the church walls remind us, “All things are possible if we only believe.”

Come behind the scenes with us on this full exterior remodel in Villa Rica, Georgia! 🏠
The old siding has been removed, the new windows are in, and the home is completely wrapped and ready for its new Harbor Gray vinyl siding.
Why did we install the windows first? The siding and house wrap need to fit properly around them to help protect the home from water and weather.
We’re also replacing the soffit and fascia. Those little holes in the soffit allow fresh air to enter the attic and escape through the top of the roof, helping the entire roofing system breathe.
New windows, siding, soffit, and fascia are giving this home a complete exterior transformation. We can’t wait to show you the finished result!

If you’re planning several exterior projects, the order you do them in really matters!

Most of the time, we work from the top down and start with the roof. But every project is different. On this home, we’re replacing the soffit and fascia first so the drip edge and new roof can be installed correctly.

We’re also replacing some of the windows and doors while we install the new siding. This allows everything to be properly flashed and sealed before the siding goes on.

That’s one advantage of choosing one qualified contractor to handle your roof, siding, windows, and doors. We can make sure every part of the project works together from beginning to end!

You generally should not install a metal roof directly over shingles because it can hide existing problems and shorten the life of the new roof.

* The shingles can trap extreme heat and begin to “cook” the underside of the metal, eventually breaking down and destroying its protective coating.
* The rough shingles can rub against the metal as it expands and contracts, wearing away the coating.
* The old shingles may hide rotten or damaged roof decking.
* Heat and moisture can become trapped between the two roofing systems.
* The uneven shingles can cause the metal panels to look wavy.
* Fasteners may not anchor properly into the roof decking.
* Future leaks can be much harder to locate and repair.
* Installing metal over shingles may affect the metal manufacturer’s warranty.

Installing metal over shingles is permitted in some situations when the existing roof and decking are in excellent condition and the correct underlayment or framing system is used. However, a full tear-off gives the roofer the opportunity to inspect the decking, fix hidden damage, and provide the new metal roof with the best possible foundation.

If you see water damage like this inside your home, the problem could actually be coming from your roof. 🏠💧

This homeowner had a leak around their chimney, and over time, that water made its way down into the walls and subfloor.

The problem? The flashing around the chimney wasn’t installed correctly. Instead of having the proper layers of metal to keep water out, they just used caulk.

Caulk eventually fails. And when it does, water can get behind the chimney and travel much farther than you might expect.

That’s why a small roof leak can turn into a much bigger repair inside your home.

If you notice water stains or damage around your chimney, have the roof checked before you just repair what you can see inside.

🌳 When was the last time you looked UP at your roof?

We installed this roof about 5 years ago, so when the homeowner called about a leak in their master bedroom, we knew something wasn’t right.

The problem? A tree limb had grown over the house and was laying directly on the roof. Over time, wind and storms caused the branches to rub against the shingles, eventually damaging them enough to cause a leak.

Even a newer roof can be damaged when tree limbs are constantly rubbing against it.

🏠 Here’s an easy homeowner tip: Every once in a while, step outside and look at your roof, especially the back and areas you don’t normally see.

If you notice tree limbs touching or hanging directly over your roof, have them trimmed back before they cause damage.

A little maintenance now could save you from a roof repair later!
