This time of year always tugs at my heart. The shop has become a little haven where community, tradition, and the simple joys of Christmas seem to glow a bit brighter. ✨🎄

Although the holiday season is just beginning to unfold all around us, the shop’s season will wrap up a little earlier this year.

As the season settles in, I’m reminded to slow down—to draw my family close, cherish the quiet moments, and hold tight to what matters most. 🤍

Just a few open days remain—this weekend, November 22 & 23, and our final weekend for the shop this year will be November 29 & 30. 🎁

Step back into a 1940s-inspired holiday at our Holiday Open House, created in collaboration with our friends at Pantry Hill.

From 1–4 PM, the historic dining room at Sugarbush Lane will be open and fully decked for the season—twinkling with vintage charm, winter greenery, and all the cozy touches you love. Sip tea, enjoy light refreshments, mingle, and browse thoughtfully curated goods.

No advance registration needed — just stop in and soak up the magic.

A corner filled with vintage winter charm — wooden skis & poles with a past, leather-strap snowshoes that have seen real trails, classic plaid, thermoses ready for cocoa, woven baskets, little trees and ornaments that feel like keepsakes.

If you stopped by this weekend, you’d notice a touch of inspiration woven throughout the shop this holiday season — a heartfelt homage to “It’s a Wonderful Life.”

A reminder of what this time of year is really about — community, kindness, and finding joy in the simple things. 🤍

POV: when your dreams become reality ✨

From a look back at Christmases past to now — a dream come true — seeing even one small (but so exciting*) photo feature in this year’s Country Living Holiday Magazine feels surreal.

One of the biggest reasons for opening Sugarbush Lane was to share the history of this beautiful old home with others. Opening the dining room — so rich with centuries of stories — for special holiday events each year has been one of the most meaningful ways to do just that.

This was the very first collaborative event that Darien from Pantry Hill and I hosted together, and we’re beyond excited to welcome you back this season on November 22.

To sit by the fire with my coffee this morning and see this storied room featured in one of my favorite publications… it’s a moment I’ll never forget. 🤍

🍂 Fall in the Northeast has a way of making every corner of a historic home feel alive with the season — but there’s nothing quite like the front door. Welcoming you in from the crisp air while pumpkins, mums, cornstalks, and sprigs of goldenrod turn the entry into a warm invitation to linger. It’s the kind of view that makes you pause, breathe a little deeper, and fall in love with autumn all over again. ✨

This season we once again picked up all of our pumpkins from Tiashoke: Farm, Store & More — and they never disappoint! A drive through the rolling countryside of Washington County leads you to their farm, where you’ll find not only a wide variety of pumpkins, but also fresh-made foods, a charming farm store, and even a little antique picking. Well worth the visit to a local family-run farm with a lot of heart! 🍂

🍂 Happy September! It may not be technically fall just yet, but the feeling is certainly in the air.

✨ Time truly does fly, and this summer has been a beautiful reminder of how quickly the days pass and how precious these moments are. In this season of life with little ones, taking a step back has given me the chance to reflect, breathe, and focus on what matters most. While this little business brings me so much joy, my greatest calling will always be family.

As we move into this next season, I’m excited to reopen the doors with a fresh perspective. Our hours will be more limited on a regular basis and I’ll also be focusing more sharply on special events.

Moving forward, we’ll be leaning even more into antiques and vintage treasures—the heart of what I love to share—with just a touch of home decor. Home decor will be available in limited quantities, making each piece extra special.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me—for your support, patience, and encouragement as I balance family life and the joy of building this dream. I look forward to welcoming you back soon—our fall opening weekend will be September 13 & 14! 🍁
