Yellow is one of those colors that you either love and embrace, or steer completely clear of.

It just happens to be my favorite color, so anytime I get the opportunity to weave those fun, sunny, joyful tones into wedding florals, I’m a very happy florist. 💛

This wedding floral design was all about modern elegance and letting the flowers be the focus, creating a statement without relying on traditional greenery. We incorporated sculptural anthurium, elegant calla lilies, and flowing amaranthus, with beautiful pops of yellow throughout to create movement, dimension, and visual interest.

I loved how the yellow became a thread throughout the day, bringing warmth and personality to the overall design while still keeping everything sophisticated and refined.

Modern, flower-forward, and a little unexpected. Exactly how we like it. ✨

There’s something extra special about creating flowers for someone who is near and dear to us and has been part of the wedding industry alongside us.

We were incredibly honored to design the bouquet for a fellow wedding vendor, Stephanie Cheatham as she and her husband renewed their vows and celebrated the love they’ve built together. After spending so much time helping other couples bring their wedding days to life, it was such a joy to create something beautiful for her special day.

And getting to attend as a guest alongside some of our favorite fellow vendors made the celebration even more fun! Let’s just say… we may spend most of our time making weddings beautiful, but we definitely know how to cut loose and have a great time when we’re guests! 😂💃

Our studio dog, Dodger, recently completed his very last wedding... and somehow, he truly saved the best for last. 🤍

The night before, he got to do what he loved most: spend the evening with me and our team while we prepped every last detail, quietly keeping us company one final time.

For nearly 400 weddings, Dodger was part of the Petals & Bark family business. He was there for the late nights, the early mornings, the countless bouquets, installations, and loading the trailer before sunrise.

Our team always joked that Dodger was in charge of our mandatory OSHA breaks. Whenever we had been working too long, he'd remind us it was time to stop for a few minutes, get some fresh air, throw a ball, or give him a few scratches before getting back to work.

The studio feels a little quieter now.

Thank you, Dodger, for being our biggest cheerleader, our best coworker, and the sweetest wedding assistant anyone could ask for. Your paw prints will always be part of Petals & Bark, and we'll miss you every single day. 🐾
