Downtown Steve (aka ) spent a mind-numbing 12 hours reorganizing and prettying up the store (after I’d been going absolutely rogue for over a week) —and there’s so much weird stuff in rn—stuff I wouldn’t normally buy, but I have a sneaking suspicion you might like—and hey! Five years ago today, the store opened for the first time. I shopped for months for stock, while simultaneously trying to turn the space from a hair salon to an antiques store that looked like my dining room. I didn’t have anywhere near enough to fill the space…and honestly I had no idea what I was doing.
Half a decade later, the store is so jam-packed that I don’t even have a flat surface left to set anything down! Thousands and thousands of pieces have passed through the store and made their way into your homes across the country. There have been smiles, laughter, tense moments, tears, belligerence, deep conversations, tender moments and even threats to burn the store down. It’s an antiques store, but it’s also a lot more than I ever thought it would be.
But for whatever it is, it’s working, and for that, I thank you all.

SO much new stuff has come in—and I’m afraid it’ll take a week or more to get it all out and arranged. But I can tell you there’s everything from jewelry and more jewelry and porcelain to clocks and framed art and unframed art and chinoiserie nonsense at every level imaginable!
