A quick run for more racks. These racks from a closed Claire’s at Hartford Mall will be perfect for bag hardware. And the Gondolas for Jacqueline de Jonge patterns.

New shop opening on January 9th. (We will be closed from November 20th to January 9th.)

Qs we get often:

Will we be having a moving sale? No

How can I sign up for classes in the new store? Class calendar to be published by October 1. Sign up online.

Will we be carrying yarn in our new store? Yes. We will also teach crochet and knitting classes.

Will we be carrying bag hardware in our new store? Yes. Can’t you just see it on the new racks?

Will we longarm as a service? No, but you can rent our long arms. We will train you.

Will we be offering sit n sew? Yes, one day a week will be an open sit n sew. No charge just sign up.

Will we have a slow sew? Yes, one evening per week.

The store will also have a lending library. If you have quilt books you no longer need or use. Bring them to us. The lending library will be free.

How many stations in the learning center for classes? 30

The new shop is dirty, needs painting, and work, but we have the keys. The buildout is ready to start.

The old shop will be open until November 20th. The new shop opens at Lincoln Square on January 9th

The countdown is on to open the new shop. We pick up the keys on Thursday, and the sign will go up in mid-September. I will post pics as we go.

But remember, we will still be operating in the current store until November 20th, 2026. Please support us through this transition.

Our goal is to create a space where modern quilters can meet and create in Southern Lancaster County. I cannot wait to release the new 2027 program, featuring guest designers and trunk shows.

This week, we're converting our classroom back into a learning center. (We needed the space for shop hop.)

Our first class back in the learning center this fall is Beginning Piecing with Kelly Davis on September 2nd. Kelly is a great teacher.

This multi-week class runs from September 2nd to September 30th. The class teaches basic piecing techniques to help everyone feel comfortable. The class is on Wednesday afternoons from 12-3, and if you don't have a machine, you can use one of ours.

A sample of the class is hanging in the shop in the thread section. Pick your own fabrics or go scrappy from your stash.
