Today The Three of Us would like to invite you to the Davidson's farm in Surgoinsville after you visit us at the Homestead Shoppe. (Its only about 10 minutes "down the road toweds' Rogsville")

The 3 of Us also have precious photos and memories of taking our children and our classrooms full of students to the pumpkin patch there over the years. My heart was so full of nostalgia as I walked through the store and the fields yesterday that I felt like I was returning to a part of my home. I even met a former student on the steps of the porch going in!

And maybe in a way, we are family. Mrs. Davidson, the grandmother that is featured in one of the photos was the librarian at Church Hill High School when our grandmother was a cook there. As an adult teacher on one of our field trips, I reminded Mrs. Davidson that she "shhhh"ed me often as a high school freshman and who my grandmother was. She remembered, not me thankfully- I guess there's a lot of chatty freshman in the library- but, told me that mammaw Armstrong gave her chocolate no-bakes from the school cafeteria. We share history, stories, a love for family and home; isn't that one definition of a family?

So, if you're following our page, you're an antique lover. They have this great restored antique counrty store. Stocked with local vendor baked goods, fresh sandwiches, crafts, meats, cornmeal, etc. There's shelves of canned goods. And the vendor list is growing! The best way to describe it is a mix of a short trip to Dollywood or an Amish store. You can also visit the farm for pumpkins, take the grandkids for activities, etc.

So, put the Davidson's Country Store on Your East Tn backroads fall must dos. I'm not an influencer. But I am an old East TN mountain woman that knows where the good stuff is 😀

How about a pop-up sale post?

We're doing a reset and we need to make room for all the fun new finds we have for you. The sign isn't fancy or cute and it definitely isn't AI, but the sale was a 5:55 decision today before the shop closed at 6:00.

Oh yeah, and at 5:58 we went back and changed the sign to 20% off 10$ and up including firm. That's a rare sale for us.

Go by and buy something fun- just watch out for the ladders and paint cans :)

We are excited for all our friends at The Village in Kingsport and congratulate them on their successful grand opening Saturday.

We had a great day too! It was one of our annual pickin' trips for The 3 of Us and we didn't let the rain stop us.

We got so many cool one-of-a- kind finds and there were no crowds where we were! 😉 We put on our mucks. Filled our bellies with great biscuits from Spires Chapel and loved every minute of shopping for our customers!

Ya'll bring your brooms in for repairs 😏, get a new "vintage" broom, gourds, or a black crock. We even have a brass figure of your aunties.
There's lots witchy items in our booths to put you in a pointy hat mood for the next "ber" month.

It's weird stuff season at The 3 of Us and we are lovin' it! Come see some of the cool finds we have for you. Here are a few of our handmade favorites.

The terra cotta tea lantern bags were hand made in the 80s and never used! There are various faces around our booths. You're going to want to grab one or two before they're gone!

Summertime means creative time for "The 3 of Us". We love giving old things a new life. We have some fun new arrivals we've made for you in our booths at the Homestead Shoppe in Church Hill. We have also sourced a booth full of fun items for you to use in your own creations. You'll find great spindles, hinges, piano parts, old tools, springs, maps, just about anything that we think will spark your imagination. We love creative people!!

The Homestrad is open 10-6 Mon-Sat.or you can call 423-357-5400 to hold an item until you get time to go shopping. You're gonna want to hang out and imagine for a few hours while you're there!
