This guest bedroom is on the smaller side, so every choice had to work a little harder. We skipped table lamps and used sconces to free up space on the nightstands while still adding a soft layer of light. A mirror helps bounce light in from the window and en suite, which makes the whole room feel a bit more open. And yes, we went with a darker color. Small spaces can handle it… sometimes even better!

This lower level used to be more of a pass-through than a destination. Now it’s a space the whole family actually gravitates toward. We leaned into warmth and comfort... soft seating, layered textiles, and a mural that brings life to what could have been a flat wall. The goal was to make it feel just as considered as the main living spaces upstairs.

We love this room. The biggest shift was bringing the fireplace up to where it always should have been. Once the stone reached the ceiling, everything else started to make more sense. It’s layered now, a little playful with pattern, but still really easy to live in. The built-ins, the bar, the sectional… all designed to be used, not just looked at.

And the photos turned out better than we could’ve hoped, thanks to Josh Beeman

So excited for our client to finally settle into it!
