I picked up a few vintage knitting machines and I’d love to pass them on locally (Cincinnati, Ohio area)

Available:
• Brother KX350 (mid gauge)
• KnitKing KH910 (standard gauge)
• KnitKing PC Bulky with ribber

These are used machines and will definitely need cleaning. They are also likely missing parts or may need some repair, so this is best suited for someone comfortable with a bit of troubleshooting or interested in learning how these machines work.

I’d especially love for these to go to someone who will use them, learn on them or help keep machine knitting knowledge moving forward.

New pattern alert! 🎉 The Carreau Beanie Pattern is here, featuring that same square check stitch I love, now in cozy hat form. Folded brim to show off both sides of the fabric + an oversized pom pom because…why not? It only uses 75g of yarn and comes in 5 sizes from toddler to adult. My class is on short row shaping for machine knitting and I have a marketplace session on how to rehab that knitting machine that’s been under your bed 😂. And of course there are several other interesting classes, too!

That’s my Carreau Top in the first picture. This features chest shaping above and below the fullest part of the chest. I like how the pattern makes the dart visible 😊 what do you think? This and more will be covered in the class!

Saturday’s class at was lovely 🥰. It’s always great to meet new knitters and hopefully get them hooked 🃏. I provide LK150s but actually love it when students bring their own machines. (When it’s in working order 🫣) Starting on the machine you’ll get to continue to practice on is 🤌🏾.

Snow washing this Simple Slouchy Beanie ❄️

It’s unusually cold and snowy right now so I figured I’d do some laundry 😒🤷🏾‍♀️. Clean snow + cold + time lifts dirt without agitation.

This has become my everyday hat. It’s machine knit with Brown Sheep’s Lanaloft Worsted.

With use it’s lightly felted so it’s warm but breathable. It was definitely due for a clean!
