Nine years running!

May is Building Safety Month, and this year's theme, "Built to Last," is at the center of everything we do.

Good design isn't just about how a building looks on opening day. It's about how it performs in years 10, 25, and 50. The decisions made early in the design process, the right materials, the right systems, the right details, are what determine whether a building endures or exists.

This week, Elevate+Dominate and the Skanska USA Sandstorm faced off in a friendly volleyball scrimmage ahead of our upcoming season at Fifty West Brewing Company . Let's say the competitive spirit was very much present!

Happy Earth Day 🌍

This is the green roof on the U.S. EPA's Andrew W. Breidenbach Environmental Research Center here in Cincinnati, and it's one of our favorite examples of sustainability you can actually see!

Green roofs reduce stormwater runoff, improve insulation, extend roof life, and support local ecosystems. And when your client is the EPA, designing with the environment in mind isn't just a value, it's the baseline.

In the AEC industry, every project is an opportunity to do better by the planet!

The Elevar team is made up of architects, engineers, interior designers, and the people who keep it all running. Different disciplines, different backgrounds, one shared goal: designing spaces that actually work for the people who use them.

What do zebrafish have to do with the future of human health? Quite a lot, actually.

We recently completed a new state-of-the-art zebrafish research lab at the University of Cincinnati, a space designed to support groundbreaking work in infertility and reproductive health research.

Zebrafish share about 70% of their genes with humans, making them a powerful model for studying how environmental factors influence development and fertility.

With the capacity to scale to thousands of specimens and support ongoing research, this lab is built for discovery, and the potential impact reaches far beyond its walls.

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine has opened a state-of-the-art zebrafish research facility in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Kossack Lab uses zebrafish to study infertility, reproductive health and how environmental contaminants impact human reproductive development.
