The new Broadview Heights Fire Station No. 2 project is in full swing! 🚒

Designed to serve as a welcoming gateway to the Broadview Heights Civic Campus, the new station will support the operational needs of the Fire Department while also serving as a valuable resource for the community.

Thoughtfully planned to complement the surrounding campus architecture, the building will create an approachable public presence while providing a functional, efficient environment for those who serve the community every day.

We’re excited to see this project take shape and look forward to sharing more along the way.

The Greater Cleveland Food Bank West Side Resource Center project is officially underway! 🎉

Yesterday, we celebrated the "wallbreaking" of this exciting new project alongside our partners Independence Construction and NV5.

Our team is excited and proud to provide full design services for this incredible project, transforming a grocery-store-turned-community-employment-center, into a vibrant hub that will provide food access, education, workforce resources, and support services for thousands of residents. This truly feels like a full-circle moment for the space.

Building on the momentum of the Waterloo Road Resource Center and Market, this new center will feature a grocery store-style pantry, demonstration kitchen, welcoming gathering spaces, and offices for community partners, all designed to create a dignified, accessible, and uplifting experience.

We're looking forward to watching this project come to life and make a meaningful impact on Cleveland's west side!

Ground has been broken on the Akron Zoo's Pride of Africa Expansion, making zoo history as its largest expansion yet🦒

The Lehner Family Foundation Giraffe Journey will introduce giraffes, ostriches, wildebeests, and Marabou storks to Akron Zoo. The exhibit will feature a spacious outdoor savanna where the animals can be observed together, as well as allow guests to feed the giraffes throughout the year. The new Landon & Cynthia Knight Giraffe Conservation Center will provide an indoor viewing area, allowing guests to see the giraffes during the winter.

Covering approximately 9.25 acres, Giraffe Journey is the largest expansion in Akron Zoo history. The project will also include a gift shop, concession stand, event space, and an all-ages tower ride.

Giraffe Journey is expected to open in 2028. Thank you to WDM Architects and all of our project partners!

This year, for Harvest for Hunger, DVA Architecture raised over $7,500, surpassing our goal!🍎
