I had some customers in the shop yesterday... a lady and her three kids... my guess would be from 15 to 5 age wise with the middle child being right there... in the middle. After a short look around, they all find a treasure that they want to take home with them...
.. such a great feeling for me in itself...

When the mom asks what the total would be... I ask her if it is ok with her if I give each of those items to the kids... Confused is the best I can describe it, as she asks like three times what I mean before I can even explain. Still trying to grasp what I am saying... the mom is explaining what I just said to the kids...

"He just wants to GIVE us these things..."

then oldest asks to clarify... 🧐👀

Kid: You mean you just want to GIVE these things to us?
Me: Yes
Kid: Ummm, You cant do that?
Me: Its ok, I know the owner really well and if he doesnt like it, Ill just tell him to take it out of my paycheck

I then explained to them... and a few others that were unsuspecting that day...

Tomorrow is my birthday and what I would like for my birthday is to put some smiles on some kids faces today.

See in my mind... I didnt just give some kids a few items... but planted a seed in at least one of them that hopefully one day they would do something like this for someone else.

Happy Birthday To Me... Love Me!!

Still Smiling!!
