Johnston Paint & Decorating is widely known as a paint supplier for central Missouri’s professional painters and general public alike.

We believe in much more than selling paint, though. We strive to provide ideas and inspiration for expressive interior design, the tools to achieve those ideal spaces, and one-on-one help along the way, from paint selection to complete interior design installations.

Pleated drapery layered over woven shades brings pattern to this bedroom and lets the owners control the light. Visit our showroom to see fabrics, shade materials, and lift styles in person, and our team will help you find the right combination for your windows.

The right wall can change the entire feel of a room. Herringbone wood, layered with intention, brings warmth, texture, and craftsmanship to an otherwise sleek, modern kitchen.

It’s often the smallest details that make a room feel complete. A woven runner. Custom wood flooring. A textured rug. Collectively, they add the kind of depth that makes a space feel lived-in and intentional.

Symmetry has a way of putting people at ease. Two shower heads. Two niches. Two towel bars, mirrored down to the last detail. Nothing competes for attention, because everything has its place.

Ready to bring that kind of balance to your own space? Our design consultants are here to help you get started.

Great design rarely relies on one note. It is the pairing – dark walls against warm wood, bold cabinetry against light tile, rich wood against crisp white – that gives a room its depth.

Contrast, used with intention, is what makes a space memorable.

From classic herringbone to bold pattern, tile does more than cover a floor. It sets the tone for the whole room.

Three spaces, three very different personalities, all starting from the ground up. Tell us: Which is your favorite?

Every color story starts with hand-picked fan decks, swatches, and textures. Our design consultants are there to help you every step of the way, from pulling inspiration to applying it with tailored techniques like color drenching.

What’s your color comfort zone: bold and drenched or neutral and demure?

Consider this your sign to reconsider wallpaper in the bathroom.

Pattern is one of the easiest ways to add serious character to a small space. Not sure where to start? Our design consultants are ready to help.
