Who says design inspiration has to come from a showroom?

The markets and food stands of France are packed with it. Rich reds, leafy greens, sunny yellows, soft neutrals, and every shade in between. Sometimes the best color palette is sitting right in front of you at a produce stand.

And of course, good design takes fuel. A little Parisian food along the way never hurts when you’re keeping the creative ideas flowing.

Learning goes beyond the classroom!

University of Missouri Architectural Studies and Design students recently traveled to Grand Rapids for a firsthand look at the ideas, craftsmanship, and manufacturing behind the spaces we use every day.

The trip included a tour of Steelcase headquarters, where students got an inside look at commercial furniture manufacturing and the process behind bringing workplace designs to life.

They also visited the Meyer May House, a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home owned and maintained by Steelcase. The stop gave students a chance to experience one of Wright’s designs in person and see how architecture, interiors, and furnishings work together within a space.

We loved seeing the next generation of designers get an up-close look at both commercial manufacturing and architectural history!

A new space for the next generation of healthcare and public safety professionals! 🎉

On August 4, Lincoln University celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of its new Health and Security Sciences facility.

Marathon Building Environments is proud to have played a part in bringing this space to life and creating an environment where students can learn, collaborate, and prepare for their future careers.

A new school year deserves a fresh look.

We're excited to see students return to Lincoln University and experience the latest campus updates, including a refreshed reception station, bold new graphics throughout campus, and custom embroidered chairs that add a personalized finishing touch to the space.

The new graphics bring energy, school pride, and a cohesive look to campus, helping create a welcoming environment for students, faculty, and visitors alike.

Meet Marathon President, Frank Sovich!

Frank is a proud dad of two, ""Poppy"" to three grandkids, and dog dad to one Standard Poodle and two Micro Mini Goldendoodles. When he's not leading the Marathon team, you'll often find him enjoying the outdoors, going for a bike ride, or cheering on Mizzou.

If you ask him about his comfort food, he'll tell you it's his grandma's homemade spaghetti and meatballs, a family recipe that came all the way from Italy.

The spaces we create are built by people with unique stories, passions, and personalities, and we're excited to help you get to know the team behind Marathon a little better.
