This wreath takes me right back to easy summer days.

The kind where a glass of ice-cold lemonade somehow tasted better outside, bikes were left in the yard, and the biggest decision of the day was whether to head to the city pool before or after lunch.

Maybe that's why I love decorating with lemons. They bring a little sunshine and simplicity to the front door.

Lemon vs. Flag THIS or THAT?

Isn’t funny how a simple pair of flip-flops can bring back completely different summer memories?

The lemon wreath makes me think of sunny afternoons, cold lemonade, sitting under a big shade tree, and slowing down long enough to enjoy a warm day.

The patriotic wreath reminds me of town parades, sparklers after dark, family cookouts, and hearing fireworks in the distance long after bedtime.

That's one of the things I love most about decorating. Sometimes it's not really about the decor at all, but the memories it brings with it.

When I was a kid, the first real sign of summer was riding my bike all over our little hometown the minute school let out.

No phones. No schedules. Just long afternoons, warm sunshine, and the feeling that the whole day belonged to you.

That’s probably why I fell in love with this wreath the minute I made it. The vintage bicycle, cheerful sunflowers, soft blue florals, and sweet little bow feel like summer freedom wrapped up in one happy piece.

Funny how certain things can instantly take you back to a simpler time.
