🍂 SOMETHING GOOD IS SIMMERING…
There’s a certain point in the year when the mornings start feeling a little softer, the evenings come a little sooner, and suddenly a biscuit with a spoonful of jam feels less like breakfast and more like a very good life decision.
September has officially entered the kitchen.
And around here, that means the shelves are full, the jam pots are busy, market days are calling, and I’m already finding myself reaching for those flavors that make everything feel just a little cozier.
So pour yourself something good, find a comfy spot, and come see what’s happening at The Neely Farm Goodies this month. 🌻
🍎 THE “PUT THIS ON EVERYTHING” SEASON
September is that funny little in-between month.
It’s still warm enough to pretend summer isn’t over… but your taste buds have already moved on.
They want warm biscuits.
They want baked brie.
They want pork chops with something sweet spooned over the top.
They want a cheese board on the porch when the evening finally cools down.
And I am more than happy to support this behavior.
A few jars that deserve some extra attention right now:
Cider House Jelly
If fall could climb into a jar without bringing pumpkin along, this would be it. Cozy, spiced, bright, and absolutely wonderful with pork, biscuits, cheese boards, or tucked into something warm and buttery.
Fig Jam
One of my favorite jars for making something simple taste downright special. Add it to a flatbread with goat cheese, crispy bacon and a drizzle of hot honey, then finish it with a little arugula. It is ridiculously good.
Peach Maple Whiskey Jam
Sweet peach, rich maple and that little extra something that makes this jar anything but ordinary. Try it with salmon, pork, warm biscuits—or straight off the spoon. I won’t tell anybody.
Spiced Wine Jelly
And before anyone asks—no, it is not “spicy.” 😉 Think warm spices, cozy flavor and one seriously beautiful partner for baked brie and charcuterie.
🫙 A LITTLE JAM CHALLENGE FOR SEPTEMBER
I have a challenge for you this month:
Take one jar out of the breakfast category.
That’s right.
Your jam deserves a life beyond toast.
Spoon it over grilled meat.
Add it to a sandwich.
Build a flatbread around it.
Serve it with cheese.
Glaze something with it.
Put it over ice cream.
Some of my very favorite ways to use these jars have absolutely nothing to do with breakfast and September feels like the perfect month to start experimenting.
If you come see me at a market, tell me what jar you have at home and I’ll happily help you figure out what to do with it.
That might actually be one of my favorite things to do. 🧡
🌻 SEPTEMBER IS PACKED —
COME FIND THE JAM!
One little thing you may notice this month — no pictures!
September is so packed with markets, events, and places to come find me that I decided to keep this newsletter simple and let the calendar do the talking.
And truthfully, I’d much rather see your faces in person anyway. 🧡

🍽️ SOMETHING NEW IS
HAPPENING AT BRANCHWATER…
Branchwater is now serving BRUNCH on Saturdays and Sundays — and I am extra excited about this one because The Neely Farm Goodies Strawberry Jam and Barrelhouse Blueberry Jam are officially on the brunch menu! 🍓🫐
There is something so special about seeing jars that started right here in my kitchen become part of a beautiful restaurant menu.
So if brunch is calling your name this weekend, head over to Branchwater and have a taste for yourself.
Go have a taste… it’s wonderful! 🧡
And if you happen to tell them Brittani sent you… well, that makes it even more fun. 😉
🫙 DON’T FORGET THOSE EMPTY JARS!
If you’ve got a little collection of empty Neely Farm Goodies jars sitting around your kitchen…
Bring them back to me!
For every eligible empty jar you return, you’ll receive $1 off your next purchase.
Because a jar getting another life makes me happy and saving you a little money on your next round of jam isn’t too shabby either.
🧡 BEFORE YOU GO…
Sometimes I look around my kitchen at stacks of jars, fruit waiting to be cooked, labels ready to go on and boxes headed out the door—and I think about how all of this started.
It started small.
And really, it still is small.
Every batch is still made by me.
Every jar still matters.
Every person who walks up to my table, comes back for another favorite, tells a friend, sends me a picture, leaves a review, or says, “You have got to try this,” is part of why I get to keep doing something I love.
That never gets ordinary to me.
So as we head into another busy month, thank you for continuing to make room for my little jars in your kitchens, on your tables and in your lives.
Here’s to cooler evenings, good food, full tables and finding plenty of reasons to open another jar.
Spread the Jam. Share the Happiness!
