This 1,600 square foot wraparound porch was designed to do one thing: make the most of life by the river. Swipe through and walk it with us, from the French doors where it all begins, to the hanging daybed made for an afternoon siesta, to the sculptural details and quiet corners tucked all along the way.

Every pocket was styled for lingering, gathering, and long days on the water. A porch with nothing left unconsidered.

🎉 CELEBRATING 15 YEARS OF OUR AMAZING LISA! 🎉

Today we celebrate 15 incredible years of BIG LISA and the extraordinary impact she has made on Baker Design Group!

From the beginning, Lisa has been so much more than an incredibly talented Interior Designer. She has been a partner, leader, builder, creative force, and a huge part of the heart of BDG. She is fun, sassy, creatively CRAZY talented, fiercely hardworking, and deeply loved by her clients and the entire BDG Fam.

Lisa has helped build Baker Design Group from the inside out and has been instrumental in growing our presence within the Dallas design community. She has worked in all four of our offices, served as an important member of our leadership team, held Board leadership roles with ASID, chaired IDS events, and earned more design awards than we can possibly count!

But beyond all the accomplishments, awards, and beautiful spaces she has created, it is Lisa herself that we celebrate today her loyalty, passion, incredible work ethic, huge personality, and the way she gives her ALL to the people and projects entrusted to her.

The Details: The Wraparound Porch

A porch this size could go a lot of ways, so we styled it in pockets meant for lingering. A woven wicker sofa piled with playful outdoor pillows, sculptural black rockers for a little edge, classic rockers for slow mornings, and a hanging daybed made for exactly one thing: doing nothing at all. A bold floral rug pulls the garden right up onto the deck, and Curate greenery keeps it feeling alive year-round.

“Imagine waking up to this view... 🤩

The layout of this primary suite puts the views front and center. The large windows parading the permimeter give it a neat fish bowl effect, framing the river and tree lines like living artwork that changes as the day goes on.

To balance that open-air scale, we grounded the room with a quieter, collected palette: natural stone, touchable velvet, and warm woven textures.

We call this “Miami in the Ozarks.” 🩷🩵💚

This waterfront owners’ suite is a modern-day Golden Girls oasis: crisp white linens for that boutique-hotel feel, textural pops of rattan and lacquered linen, and oversized windows wrapping the room for a full waterfront view.

Every detail was chosen on purpose. Swipe to see the ones worth a closer look: the scalloped rattan mirror, the pastel blue dresser, the botanical bedding pulling the whole palette together, and the blush door detail we can’t stop talking about.

This is a kitchen that decided to have fun. 🍋

The River House kitchen layers pretty on pretty: a blush pantry door, hand painted botanical art, a rosy tile backsplash, and blue scalloped chairs that carry straight into the breakfast nook. Every finish was sourced, approved, and installed by our team, so the homeowners walked in to a fully styled kitchen with nothing left to figure out.

That is our white glove, full service interior design at work: we handle the trades, the deliveries, the install, and the final styling down to the flowers on the counter. You show up and live in it.

To highlight the gorgeous windows in this Ozark dining nook, we designed custom window treatments featuring a tailored scalloped overlay with a playful peek-a-boo fabric layered underneath.

By pulling in rich, vibrant floral textiles and thoughtfully styling the surrounding cabinetry, this gathering space feels beautifully curated and effortlessly complements the bright energy of the adjoining kitchen.
