At first glance, the range commands the room.

Look a little closer.

The hand-painted tile panel behind it isn't really a backsplash in the traditional sense. The medallion pattern, the cobalt border, the detail that rewards anyone who gets close enough to see it.

The range and the hood were selected to complement it.

Not the other way around.

The laundry room is typically where the budget runs out, and the linoleum appears.

Not here.

Floor-to-ceiling walnut cabinetry. A brass ceiling fixture that means it. The same checkerboard floor that ties this space back to the kitchen just beyond the door.

A home this considered doesn't stop at the threshold.

Even the room where the towels live gets a point of view.

But the wall across from it was designed to pull its weight.

Walnut upper cabinets with brass mesh fronts and custom ring hardware. Storage that doesn't announce itself, but doesn't hide either.

In a room this well designed, there are no afterthoughts… A room is only as good as all of it.

We believe great design should make life better for every member of the family. Even the ones with four paws.

It was such a joy to be part of the Texas North Plains NKBA Dogs & Design event, where we had the opportunity to share how thoughtful design can create beautiful, functional spaces for both people and their pets.

From custom feeding stations and built-in crates to durable materials and pet-friendly floor plans, every project is an opportunity to design for the way our clients truly live.

We’re honored that NKBA National featured the event and highlighted the incredible work happening within our chapter.

What We Wish You Knew... We spend a lot of time talking about construction schedules.

But the truth is, clients are part of the schedule too.

Selections.
Approvals.
Revisions.
Sign-offs.

Every one of those milestones keeps a home moving forward.

When those pieces happen on time, projects stay on track.
When they don't, delays begin to stack up.

We know every decision feels important.

Because it is.

But waiting for the "perfect" answer often creates bigger problems than making a thoughtful decision and moving forward.

Progress matters.
Momentum matters.

And great homes are built when everyone keeps moving in the same direction.

This tucked-away sink moment from The All-American could have been simple and purely functional. Instead, it became a quiet little design moment with warm wood, brass, stone, flowers, and collected pieces that make it feel personal.

A little classic. A little collected. A lot of charm.

This detail from The All-American is one of those quiet moments that makes the whole kitchen feel special.

The brass fixtures, apron-front sink, warm walnut, and tailored cabinetry all work together without needing to shout.

That is what classic design should do.

Summer has a way of reminding us what good design is really about... Not just how a space looks - how it lives.

Morning coffee before the house wakes up.

An afternoon spent by the pool.
A conversation that lasts longer than anyone planned.

The best outdoor spaces aren't filled with furniture.

They're filled with reasons to stay.

The hanging swings, layered textures, and soft coastal palette create a space that feels relaxed, inviting, and connected to the home beyond it.

Because when the Texas heat arrives, the backyard shouldn't just be something you look at.
