Some homes are built.

Others are crafted.

From the exposed timber beams and soaring ceilings to the floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and thoughtfully designed living spaces, every detail of this custom barn-inspired home was built with intention.

Not because it was trendy.

Not because it was easy.

Because great design stands the test of time.
This is the kind of home where craftsmanship isn’t hidden behind the walls—it’s part of the experience.

Every beam, finish, and material was chosen to create a home that feels as impressive on day one as it will decades from now.

Custom isn’t about square footage.
It’s about creating something that couldn’t be mistaken for anything else.

That’s what makes a house unforgettable.
Which detail would you steal for your own dream home?

Some homes are built from a floor plan.

Others are designed around how people actually live.

This custom North Idaho home was thoughtfully crafted from the inside out…with handcrafted walnut cabinetry, oversized gathering spaces, a spa-inspired primary bath, and covered outdoor living that extends the home well beyond its walls.

What stands out most isn’t any one finish.

It’s how every space feels intentional.

✔️ Oversized kitchen island with abundant storage
✔️ Custom walnut cabinetry throughout
✔️ Spa-inspired wet-room shower
✔️ Functional mudroom and laundry design
✔️ Expansive covered outdoor living space
✔️ Open-concept great room with custom built-ins

Some homes are beautiful.

Some homes feel intentional.

This one was designed from the ground up to feel connected to its surroundings — warm wood tones, natural light pouring through oversized windows, custom cabinetry, textured stone, and views woven into nearly every space.

The best part about a truly custom home isn’t just the finishes. It’s the feeling you get walking through it. Every decision was made with purpose. Every detail feels considered.

Modern mountain design done the way it should be — warm, timeless, and built for North Idaho living.

This winter felt different—and it matters.

North Idaho saw a much lighter snowpack this year, which means we’re heading into fire season with drier conditions than usual.

And if you’re building in timbered areas like this… that’s something you plan for early, not after the fact.
Most people know the recommended 30 feet of defensible space.

But in areas like this, we often go beyond that—creating additional clearance, reducing fuel sources, and designing with long-term safety in mind.

It’s not about over-clearing or losing the feel of the land.
It’s about being intentional with what stays, what goes, and how the home sits within it.

Because building here isn’t just about the home—
it’s about understanding the environment it lives in.

The Bitterroot Plan. Built at Timber Grove in the Idaho Club.

A home designed around alignment—
with the land, the light, and how people actually live.

Set into the hillside to preserve privacy and capture the setting

Expansive glass that brings the outdoors into every main space

A layout that moves naturally from kitchen to living to outdoor deck

Main-level living with a private primary suite
Lower level designed for flexibility—hosting, relaxing, or both

Layered materials throughout—stone, wood, and cabinetry that feel integrated, not applied

📍Previously built at 7 Timber Grove, Sandpoint
Located within the Idaho Club—golf, privacy, and a setting that stands on its own

This home is sold.

The plan remains—ready to be refined, adjusted, and built again.

If you’ve been thinking about building, this is the level of starting point that changes the entire process.

Save this for when you’re ready to build.

Did you know there’s a difference between cultured stone and natural “real” stone?

Not only is there a significant cost difference associated with the product itself….but installation requirements are different.

From the archives — a custom Harrison build that still stands out.

Designed to feel expansive, elevated, and filled with natural light, this home was all about creating a clean, cohesive flow from the moment you walk in.

Vaulted ceilings, a full-height stone fireplace, and oversized windows anchor the main living space—bringing in both scale and warmth while keeping everything light and open.

The kitchen was designed to be a true focal point:
quartz countertops with natural movement, an oversized island for gathering, and a professional-grade range that elevates the entire space.

And then it opens seamlessly to covered outdoor living—framed by North Idaho views that never get old.

Every detail in this home was intentional:

• A fully built-out wine room designed as a statement feature
• A primary suite positioned to capture light and privacy
• Consistent materials and clean transitions carried throughout

This is the kind of build we’re proud of—
one that still feels just as striking years later as it did on day one.

Built with purpose. Designed to last.

Some projects just hit a little differently.
This is one of them.

If you’ve followed our stories over the last two years of planning and slowly dismantling this barn from the 1800’s then you know; it’s been quite the journey.

This beautiful barndominium was rebuilt on the same foundation and pieces of the old barn were carefully and thoughtfully repurposed on both the exterior and interior….preserving some of its history ❤️

This beautiful fireplace runs through the heart of the whole home and is one of our favorite elements.

From the rustic metal roof, to the intricate finishes inside….this one stole our hearts!

Sharing a few of our favorite interior moments from this recent barndominium build.

What started as an old barn was carefully taken apart piece by piece—preserving as much of the original wood as possible. That same character was carried into the new home, built on the original foundation.
One of our favorite features—the fireplace—runs through the center of the home across every level, tying it all together.
