The northern section of Michigan’s M-119 highway has earned the nickname the Tunnel of Trees for its scenic views spanning 20 miles—and a Priceline report predicts it’ll have some of the most stunning fall foliage in 2026. Connecting the small towns of Harbor Springs and Cross Village, the route snakes its way along the Lake Michigan shoreline beneath a canopy of trees boasting incredible shades of yellow, red, and orange. Make a pit stop along the way to Thorne Swift Nature Preserve, where you can explore walking trails and beachfront boardwalks to take in the best of the fall foliage and the lake.
