I may have gone a little overboard with the pumpkins this year, but I just couldn't help myself! 🍂

Fall is one of my favorite times of year in Duxbury, and I've had so much fun getting the shoppe dressed up for the season. The mums, the pumpkins, the little details... it just makes me happy every time I walk up to the front door.

If you're in the neighborhood, come say hello! There's always something new to see inside.

I’ve always believed you can tell when someone really loves their home. Not because everything is perfect, but because it’s layered with things they’ve collected, inherited, moved around, and simply couldn’t leave behind.

Now tell me, what’s the one thing in your house that makes absolutely no sense to anyone else, but you’d never get rid of?

I’ve always loved the mix more than the match - something old beside something new, a beautiful glass you actually use, a cookbook left within reach, a piece of pottery that feels a little imperfect, and the things you’ve picked up over time simply because you loved them.

That’s very much how I think about the shoppe, too. I’m not looking for everything to belong to the same “collection.” I’m looking for pieces that feel like they could have already lived a little life - and might become part of yours next.

The best shelves aren’t styled all at once. They happen slowly, one good find at a time. And I think that’s what makes them interesting.

Tell me: are you a shelf styler who moves things around constantly (like me!), or once you find the right spot, does it stay there forever?

One of my favorite things to do is source antiques for the shoppe. I love finding those pieces that have a little age, character, and a story already built in - and honestly, so many of them barely make it into the shoppe before someone takes them home.

The problem is, our little shoppe can only hold so much. So I’ve been collecting and saving some really special pieces for one big day.

On October 10th from 10–5, we’re setting up a tent outside the shoppe and filling it with gorgeous antique pine furniture, rugs, artwork, and accessories—pieces I’ve been gathering and waiting to share with you.

And because it wouldn’t be a proper fall market without something sweet, Sarah Leahey Benjamin of Bay Road Bakehouse will be there with seasonal baked goods, too.

Come early, you don’t want to miss this, I promise.

Thank you for joining us for our Pillow Party! We had the doors open, pillows everywhere, and tons of good conversations about color, pattern, and your homes.

The surprise of the day? While we expected our classic Duxbury blues to lead the way, everyone kept gravitating toward greens, warm browns, and softer earthy tones. Watching those combinations come together was half the fun.

Thank you to everyone who stopped in, brought photos, moved pillows from one pile to another, and let us help find the mix that felt just right.

There are few things I love more than a really good pillow. They’re one of those little details that can completely change a room—bringing in color, texture, pattern, and personality without having to start all over.

And this Thursday, we’re having a little fun with them.

Our Pillow Party is happening at the shoppe from 10–5, and we’ll have stacks of new pillows ready to mix, match, layer, and play with.

Bring a photo of your sofa, your bed, your favorite chair (or even bring in a pillow you already own) and we’ll help you figure out what works with what you already have.

Sometimes all a room needs is one new pattern. Sometimes it needs a whole new combination. Either way, this is the fun part.

Come by, stay awhile, and let’s play with pillows!
