Ancient fossilized ivory necklaces. Three Exceptional handcarved bead necklaces. Two 22” fossilized walrus ivory necklaces with warm patina from being buried in the soil and likely from years of contact with the delicate oil of the body (very much like pearls). Cocktail dress length -these beads will look fantastic for decades to come. Woo boy! Be the warmest, most stylish in these very very warm and sturdy Woolrich Buffalo Plaid hunting pants. Two sizes and styles. The oldest are size 40- probably made as cropped pants to be used with boots. Buttons for suspenders. Both pair of pants are in great shape. $115 each.

Just in -two wonderful art glass pieces by internationally known glass artist Mel Munsen who pioneered fused glass works . Both works came from the recent estate of a Fairbanks physician. Both are signed. The fused glass bowl is large almost 13 inches wide and the dish is 11 inches long. Bowl $350 and dish is $150. SOLD

Blue Door hours are 11-6pm Tuesday-Saturday and Sunday 12-4. 907-452-2103. The weekend we are also at the Vintage Fair in Shoppers Forum Mall.

Born in San Diego, Mel Munsen is an internationally renowned glass artist living and working in Victoria (BC). He received his BFA in Graphic Design from Portland State University in 1969 and studied glassblowing for six months before immigrating to Canada to begin his career. Since then, he has developed a technique for fusing and slumping glass, a complex process that results in unique pieces. His work has been in exhibitions in Japan, Korea, Canada, and the United States. He is part of many public and private collections, including the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec.” # britishcolumbiaartists

Vintage Faire opens TODAY Shoppers Forum, 10 AM - 5PM Sat., & 11-5 Sun. Vintage clothing, toys, kitchenware, quilts, cards, clocks, collectibles, record albums, decor and lots more! Look for our booth by the windows facing the parking lot, in the frontage road corner of the store. Blue Door Antiques, 315 Illinois will also be open at the regular times, Sat. 11-6 & Sun. 12-4, 315 Illinois, lots of parking in the lot behind the store. Come visit us in both locations!
