Cleaned and repairs made.
Military furniture was made by different manufacturers. Differences are easily seen when you can compare. Appearances are the same but drawer sizes, drawer runners, and veneer are a few things that can make swapping drawers, or marrying found pieces, a challenge. An example is the nightstand on the right. I acquired it with a stuck bottom drawer and a missing top drawer. I had a spare drawer 'sitting around' in my stash. Unfortunately it needed a narrow runner. I replaced the runner only to find that the drawer was a smidge too wide to clear the back vertical supports of the nightstand. After some more modifications the top drawer fit! Next was the stuck bottom drawer. This drawer will find a different life some day. I will do something unique with the space it once occupied.
