I am excited and passionate about the art of floral design, with a love for hydrangea, lavender, the outdoors and healthful living. When I was planning my wedding in 2016, I realized that the vision I had for floral arrangements was going to be impossible for someone else to create. My own mother brought ten years of experience working with flowers from the Ukraine to the US, and although she curr
ently lives in the Midwest, I asked for her help to design my wedding. The process and production of design, getting to play with flowers and create something unique, was enough for me to pursue training at the American School of flower designer in New York City under the incredible floral designer Michael Gaffney. I seek to partner with local farms to source fresh flowers for my designs. The style of Floranna bouquets is European… eclectic and ethereal. I love to play with colors and textures and I am passionate about creating unique designs for occasions and celebrations. European bouquets are not arranged in a standard vase like store-bought flowers. Each arrangement is hand-tied and free standing and can serve as a standalone centerpiece. As I developed the company, I enjoyed the challenge of playing with the 3-D nature of hand-tied bouquets … with many different shapes, scales, and layers to create layouts that were as functional on tables as they were beautiful. Floranna designs have been featured in local weddings, window showcases for a jewelry store in West Hartford and as restaurant centerpieces for special events and holidays. My arrangements come from my heart. I cherish each one as if it were for my own wedding. I deeply appreciate customers taking the leap of faith and giving me the honor to create their floral designs!
