I'm not a Bible scholar. I just like thinking about things that strike me as I'm listening to or reading scripture. I'm up to 1 Samuel now. Here is the thing I never noticed before: Saul was a Benjaminite. When listening to Judges this morning, I heard about the Benjaminites not joining with the rest of Israel to avenge a r**e victim. Instead they joined forces with the enemy and, as a result, they were nearly wiped out. At the end of these accounts is: "In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in their own eyes." And then when the Israelites started begging for a king, the king was chosen from the Benjaminites! I found this very interesting.

One thing that I really like about the Audio Bible that I am listening to is that the past tense of eat is not ate. It is et. In this picture, Mason et a taco. It made him exceedingly happy. (I also like the word exceedingly.)

So, if you are like me, and getting signed up for Medicare is giving you ulcers, all you need to do is call your local Social Security office. They will send you a handy-dandy-super-easy-link and you are all set in like two minutes! The link even explains how to delay Part B without the penalty! Here is a picture of the man who told me to contact my local SS office. My dad. I am so blessed at my age to still be able to consult my parents when I am confused.

Think of a place where the sun is hot, the sky is blue, and the clouds are wispy stripes. This rug/ throw is trying to become that place. Any guesses where the addition of a snake camouflaged for slithering through the sand might be? Now that I’ve begun adding cacti, I bet you know this piece is a tribute to the desert.
