Today was the perfect day to open the garage door in the studio and work on some mugs in the fresh fall air with some of my favorite fellow mud-slingers! 💕🤣 I posted a few extra pics I took when the studio was clean 'n organized. A state it never seems to remain in for very long!

My grand-daughter was a good sport today and lent me a hand (or 2 to be exact) in getting my plastic shelf unit encased in plastic. It will serve as a damp box to control drying time of the clay work I produce!

I finally got my hands back in clay yesterday at my new studio location! I'm feeling very blessed. I was smiling the whole time. Here's a video of making a gnome from a couple years ago! (Audio: Let it Rain by Crowder)

I wanted to make a (fairly) brief personal post, which I don’t often do on my pottery page. 2026 has been a bit of a roller-coaster! Friends and family are aware that my husband, Steve, passed away peacefully on his 69th birthday this past March, in our home surrounded by loving friends and family. God and the aforementioned loved ones have been so faithful during Steve’s battle with cancer the last year and a half. In Dec we had purchased a home in Franklin, IN to be closer to our daughter’s family and Steve’s doctors. January, February and March were a blur of medical appointments and surgery for Steve, contemplating many difficult decisions, all while packing and moving to Franklin. Looking back, I know that I only got through it by the grace of God and the constant help and encouragement provided by family and friends!! So…….deep breath…….now it’s time for some good news!! I am working on getting a new space ready to use as my pottery studio!! I’ll be sharing more information in the days and weeks to come but I just felt like I needed to make this post as an update and as a way to ease myself back into the idea of making pottery again! I am looking forward to engaging my brain in creative endeavors…..or maybe disengaging my brain and letting my hands engage in creative endeavors! I just wanted to let anyone who’s interested know I’m still chuggin’ along out here in the cornfields of Indiana, full of much gratitude and love to God and all y’all!! Thanks for the many prayers, words, and deeds, all too numerous to fathom!!
