Sign of the Whale Antiques has been in business in the heart of the village of Glen Ellyn, Illinois since 1979. (Glen Ellyn is approximately 25 miles west of Chicago, and easily accessible by interstate highways.) It is a group shop comprised of the following four businesses: Caroline Jacobsen Antiques, Kandy Craig Antiques, Virginia Larsen Antiques, and Liberty Tree Antiques. While each of us ope
rates our own individual antiques business, collectively Sign of the Whale specializes in 19th century American country furniture especially in painted surfaces, as well as quilts, hooked rugs, lighting, folk art, decoys, early glass, oil paintings, and appropriate accessories. We strive to offer items of quality to the beginning as well as advanced collector, to dealers, and to those seeking to furnish their homes with antique pieces of merit. The shop is located at 558 Crescent Boulevard, open Monday through Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm; we are closed Wednesday and Sunday. We are also available by appointment.
