Had a lovely site visit over at MEYER’S CASTLE - CHICAGO / NWI WEDDING VENUE with some of our fave clients today. The property is so stunning and we can’t wait to add our floral touches all over the place. Brett & Brian are going to have the most gorgeous September wedding!! We can’t wait to bring our vision to life!

If you know us at all you know we LOVE Halloween. The spookiness, the costumes, trick or treating, all of it. And the only thing we’d give up Halloween night for is a badass Halloween wedding! Talked with a bride today and she wants just that, a moody, vampy, phantom of the opera vibe in a 100 year old ornate theater. Creepy, dramatic, vintage, goth, romantic reds. So much yes. Might shed actual tears if we don’t get to work on this event!

Emily and Justin’s wedding was soft and sweet in shades of green, white and pink. We used the absolutely classic combo of Roses and Baby’s Breath mixed with some foliage for their florals. Pairing the romantic blooms with the lush surroundings of The Grove Redfield Estate made for a lovely setting for their celebration

Today’s event was so easy breezy. Great couple and vendor team, location we love, pretty florals, excellent weather compared to the rest of the week. We’ll show you more soon. You know what made it sorta stressful though? TRAFFIC. To us arriving early is on time, and even though we gave ourselves a ton of buffer time the roads were not our friend this afternoon and we arrived a little late to our event! We. Hate. That. It’s absolutely not the norm. So sorry to everyone today, it all worked out OK, but we feel just awful. And if you see us arriving for future events waaaaay too early you’ll know this is why. Uggghhhh

Dina & Matt tied the knot at yesterday with a small handful of their closest loved ones. Not only was the day of the week unconventional, they also did something really creative with the flowers. And you’ll have to forgive us as we didn’t get as many photos as we should have!

The couple had a private first look at the venue’s secluded pergola, where we had added large sprays of Blush and White Roses, Baby’s Breath and Astilbe. After their intimate moment we hustled down the path and over the bridge to grab those florals and hustled back over to the Oak Tree where our Wood Arch and Fabric Drape were waiting for us, and reinstalled the sprays there for the ceremony. Then after super sweet the ceremony those florals were loaded up in the family’s car to be transported to a dinner reception, and used on the large dining table as a super lush centerpiece. Now THAT’S repurposing! Boom! Triple use, love it so much.
