Celebrate the magic of the season at the Oneonta Christmas Market and Tree Lighting Celebration. Christmas in Toyland brings the whole community together for an evening of holiday cheer in downtown Oneonta!

The festivities begin at the Oneonta Christmas Market, where local artisans, crafters, and food vendors fill the streets with the sights, sounds, and scents of the holidays. Shoppers can browse unique handmade gifts, grab a bite to eat from on of our many food trucks, savor warm seasonal treats, and enjoy live music and carolers spreading Christmas spirit throughout the evening.

Families will not want to miss a chance to visit Santa Claus & take a horse and carriage ride through the festive streets for a holiday adventure.

As twilight settles in, the community gathers at the 30ft tall Christmas Tree at 6pm sharp for the highlight of the evening — the Grand Tree Lighting Ceremony. With a joyful countdown, the Oneonta Christmas tree bursts to life with thousands of sparkling lights, filling the night sky with warmth and wonder.

Join friends, neighbors, and loved ones for this heartwarming celebration of the season — a night of laughter, light, and community spirit that makes Christmas in Oneonta truly special.
