Hiking Acatenango, you move through terrain that has shaped life in Guatemala for centuries. These volcanoes are not just landscape, they are part of how people understand the land, its fertility, and its volatility. Reaching basecamp and watching Fuego erupt through the night, you feel that tension directly, the ground is active, the air shifts, nothing is static. It is physical and immediate, not abstract.
Being there changes how I understand the place.
It is not just visual.
It is lived.
It is felt.
And that awareness carries into how I approach our work and what we choose to bring into RB Curated, with a deeper respect for origin, material, and the forces that shape both.
