Caribbean Mix of Trix 🌴 Caribbean Mix of Trix – My Story
Caribbean Mix of Trix was born from culture, creativity, and a deep love for food. At the time, it was just an idea.

🌴 Caribbean Mix of Trix was born from culture, creativity, and a deep love for food.

“In life we pass on history, and with living we keep it going.”

— Sheena Mirsalim While in college, I was assigned a project to create a business for social media. That’s when the name Caribbean Mix of Trix first came to life—a reflection of my mixed heritage, Guyanese and Puerto Rican, and the rich culinary traditions passed down to me by my parents and grandparents. But my passion for cooking never stopped growing. Hosting BBQs for friends and family, I began receiving overwhelming support and encouragement. What started as casual gatherings turned into something much bigger—people kept coming back for more. A few years after graduating, I decided to take a leap of faith and turn my passion into a business. As a single mother, building Caribbean Mix of Trix became more than just a hustle—it became a purpose. Today, every dish I create is rooted in tradition, love, and years of ancestral recipes. My goal is simple: to bring people together through food and share a taste of the Caribbean that feels like home.

I had the pleasure of catering 80 guest for my cousins wedding! ✨👩🏽‍🍳

Extremely grateful & thankful to have the strength to move forward with my catering business! ✨🙏🏽

Being an entrepreneur is not easy, and you don’t get paid a salary for your time lol. You have to plan, prep, and execute on the hour, every hour. Which means 3-4 hours of sleep, an already over stimulated mind x20 and anxiety. 😂😫☺️ but, I wouldn’t have it any other way knowing that I’m doing what I love to do.

Cooking is my absolute love language and I hope everyone enjoyed it 🫶🏽
