Farmhouse sinks aren’t one-size-fits-all—it’s all about how they’re detailed.

From how it sits within the cabinetry to the way the countertop connects, every decision shapes the final look.
Done right, it feels intentional, classic, and completely at home in the space.

We’ve been noticing 5 major design styles shaping some of the most beautiful homes right now, and the truth is, the most layered and interesting spaces rarely fit into just one category.

From warm organic textures to timeless transitional details, each style brings something different to how a home feels and functions.

We rounded them up here along with some thoughts on how they’re showing up in today’s interiors. Read more at the link below and let us know which style speaks to you most.

The Top 5 Interior Design Styles Shaping Homes Today Published: March 26, 2026 Interior design styles are constantly evolving, but the most exciting homes today share a common theme: they feel personal, comfortable, and thoughtfully layered rather than overly styled or trend-driven. Homeowners are i...

Old world charm, built into every detail

Here in Nice, shutters aren’t just decorative, they’re part of daily life. Unlike many homes in the U.S., where shutters are often interior (or purely aesthetic), these exterior shutters are designed to live with the space, controlling light, airflow, privacy, and even temperature throughout the day.

From fully open to softly filtered, to completely closed at night… it’s a simple detail that completely transforms how a home feels and functions. Practical, beautiful, and rooted in history this is the kind of thoughtful architecture that never goes out of style.

I had the pleasure of leading a walking design tour and brunch at the Houston Design Center this week—an event that has become a favorite annual tradition. For the past several years, Old Republic Title has invited their top real estate partners in Houston to join us for a fun and inspiring way to connect, share ideas, and explore what’s shaping design today.

We visited several beautiful showrooms, including Kitchen & Bath Concepts, , and , where I guided the group through each space and highlighted key trends I’m seeing across projects—from elevated kitchen and bath details to the growing demand for highly personalized, experience-driven spaces like wine rooms.

Grateful for the opportunity to share insights, connect with such a talented group of professionals, and spend the day immersed in great design.

A few weeks in the South of France, and a quiet reminder of why we travel.

I spent time at Alliance Française in Nice, brushing up on my French (et oui… still working on those subjunctive verbs😉), but it was the moments in between that stayed with me most—morning walks along the Promenade des Anglais, the color and movement of the Cours Saleya market, and the stillness of Èze perched above the sea.

Spring brought a softness to everything—light, air, and the kind of beauty that feels entirely effortless.
It’s a constant reminder that great design is not only about how a space looks, but how it lives, how it moves, and how it makes you feel.

I’m coming home inspired.💙

I recently sat down with Nadine Gol of NG Platinum Homes on her podcast to talk through a few of my latest projects and share a bit more about my approach to design.

One thing I touched on is something I always come back to: creating homes that feel timeless.

I want my projects to feel as relevant years from now as they do today, where the foundation is so well thought out that you’re not feeling the need to start over, just making small updates along the way to keep things fresh.

Because when you truly love your space, it evolves with you—it doesn’t need to be completely redone.

Go watch the full episode to learn more about all the unique details behind these two projects I worked on in Houston, Texas area!

Another peek into this project ✨

We’re bringing this backyard to life just in time for the warmer months ahead—where outdoor living becomes an extension of the home. From pool days to a quick game of badminton, this space is being designed for both relaxation and connection.

Next up: layering in thoughtfully selected poolside furnishings to elevate comfort, style, and function.

Stay tuned as it all comes together, this is just the beginning of creating a space made for long summer days and even better evenings outdoors.

Spring, styled just right 🌷
Soft layers, fresh greens, and light-filled moments—this space was designed to feel like a breath of fresh air. From the airy drapery to the natural textures and subtle pops of color, every detail invites in the season and creates a calm, collected place to unwind (or get a little work done).

Chasing lights, finding inspiration

My recent trip to Churchill, Manitoba was truly something special, where raw nature, rich history, and thoughtful design all came together in the most unexpected way. From the quiet charm of Winnipeg to the stark beauty of the Arctic landscape, every moment felt intentional and inspiring.

And then, of course, the Northern Lights—dancing across the sky in ways I had only ever imagined. A reminder that some of the most beautiful experiences can’t be designed…only witnessed.

Beyond the lights, I found inspiration in the details, the textures of the landscape, the warmth of thoughtfully designed spaces in extreme climates, and the balance between comfort and simplicity in such a remote place.

A trip that filled both my creative spirit and sense of wonder.

Make sure to subscribe to my newsletter to hear more detail about my trip.

New build, but make it personal

A brand-new home is a fresh start, no outdated finishes, no surprises. But sometimes that clean slate can feel a little… flat.

Here’s the secret: character isn’t something you buy, it’s something you layer in.

• Add architectural detail (molding, wallpaper, upgraded doors)
• Swap builder-grade fixtures for statement lighting + beautiful hardware
• Mix furniture styles instead of buying matching sets
• Bring in natural textures + greenery
• Layer rugs and window treatments for warmth
• Display meaningful pieces that tell your story
• Use color intentionally to shape the mood

Turning a house into a home doesn’t happen overnight, it’s curated over time. And when done thoughtfully, that blank canvas becomes a space with real soul. 🤍
