Laura and the design team draw from their design and architectural backgrounds to create gorgeous homes where families build lasting memories. Headquartered in Houston and Aspen, Laura U Design Collective has grown into a multi-disciplinary firm with a focus on projects in Texas, the Rocky Mountains, and California. LUDC has been recognized with Press and Awards: International Design and Architecture Award and the prestigious National Gold List by Luxe magazine. In 2020, Laura was awarded the 31st Annual ARTS Award for Best Interior Designer. The firm – which holds more than 20 awards from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) – has had its designs featured in Elle Decor, Interiors magazine, House Beautiful, and Laura’s home was featured in 2019’s On Style: Inspiration and Advice from the Next Generation of Interior Design, published by Rizzoli.

Welcome home to Hedwig Village and this peaceful primary suite. Our client travels - A LOT! - and this is the space where he spends most of his time when he isn’t away.

The sweeping upholstered bed sets the tone, while warm wood and sculptural lighting encourage you to sleep in as long as you wish. But then we felt something was missing. Something to activate the sitting area when you are ready to launch the day, so we turned to our friends at ELLIO Fine Art for the perfect piece. We’re so pleased with how this came together!

This was a thoughtful design for new Houston residents who were delighted with all the spaciousness of Texas.

Choosing West U for its cozy similarity to their native East Coast, the family refused to sacrifice character, even with this new build.

Reeded glass cabinetry, a mitered stone countertop, and plaster-white sconces bring the warmth they were hoping for.

The best open-concept homes don’t blur the lines between spaces, they create a thoughtful dialogue between them.

This kitchen anchors the heart of the home with rich wood tones, sculptural stone, and clean, modern detailing. Every material and finish was selected to flow naturally into the adjoining living space, creating continuity without sacrificing character.

Because when every room speaks the same design language, the entire home feels intentional.
