Still buzzing from the VERANDA Magazine Trade Secrets Summit in Birmingham with Steele Marcoux + her amazing team last week!!!💚

From cocktails + conversation to thoughtful programming on styling + photographing our work, pitching + promoting, + building our brands in an ever changing social world… there was so much to take home + put into practice.

Add in a little creative play with Pooky, an inspiring talk on authenticity with Alexander Widener, incredible conversations with fellow designers, + a final day wandering Antiques at the Gardens • Birmingham… my creative cup is officially full!!!

A wonderful reminder that no matter how long we’ve been doing this, there is always more to learn, discover, + dream up. 💚💚💚

It’s been a little over a month without Dolly, but you better believe us Houston designers are carrying her colorful torch. 💗

Thank you, House Beautiful, for celebrating a true legend and reminding us of one of Dolly’s best lessons: be unapologetically yourself. In design, that means choosing the colors that make you happy, mixing the patterns you love and filling your home with personality, not worrying about fitting a mold or following a trend.

We’ll keep that torch burning, one colorful room at a time. ✨

Feeling Fall, Interior Edition 🍂

Forget the pumpkin spice lattes; we’ve got our own idea of fall flavor! Richly stained bookshelves, burnt orange dressing up a handsome office, a touch of deep burgundy in the bedroom, richly golden yellow warming a living room, and a soothing deep green tucked into the guest room … turns out our rooms have been ready for the season all along!

Why just take a bath when you can make a splash?! 🫧 

You’ve seen my dressing room, and now I’m taking you into our bathroom, where we soak up every delicious detail. Marble on marble, mirrors at every turn, and of course, brass fixtures and hardware to really make the space pop – my own bathroom sanctuary is proof that I *really do* believe that more is more!!

Oh, what a night with Buccellati + Tenenbaum Jewelers! ✨

I spent the evening creating different tablescapes with Buccellati’s beautiful silver collection, but the most special part was having my mother, Barbara Tartt, there with me.

I grew up learning everything I know about silver + fine china from her. To now be in a room together, sharing with all of you the knowledge + love for these beautiful pieces that she passed down to me, was such a full-circle moment. A night I’ll always remember! 🤍🤍

Tiny bubbles, big personality. 💙🫧

At Creative Tonic, our motto is that every room should serve AT LEAST three purposes…+ this multi-purpose little jewel of a space does exactly that: wash + fold, work + create, + a happy place for the pups. 🐾

Pattern underfoot, color at the windows, brass details + plenty of personality make even the most practical spaces feel special.

Because life + design, is better with a few tiny bubbles. 🫧🫧🫧
