Still smiling over the memories from this year’s Shun Yoshino exhibition. 🧡🧡🧡

A heartfelt thank-you to Shun Yoshino, his wife Kaori, and Food Presentation Artist + Photographer Tokiko Iino for making this gathering so special.

Shun’s beautiful ceramics and Tokiko’s thoughtful food styling showed us how much joy a well-set table can bring to everyday life. And to Kaori—thank you for your kindness and all the care and support you brought to the event.

Every year, you bring us something new to fall in love with. It was wonderful to see our community welcome you back with so much warmth.

A big thank-you to our entire Orange Market Tableware team, too. From preparing the displays to welcoming our guests, your hard work and care helped make it all come together.

To everyone who joined us, and everyone who continues to support Orange Market Tableware: thank you. Your enthusiasm for these artists and their work makes gatherings like this possible.

We’re already looking forward to being together again in 2027—and have begun dreaming up more wonderful things to share with you.

“I’m excited to announce my second solo exhibition in Irvine, California!

In Japan, we have long cherished the art of food presentation, believing that tableware is like clothing for food.

Irvine is home to people from many different cultures. I hope my ceramics bring warmth to your table and remind you of the flavors of home.

This time, I’m delighted to collaborate with food presentation artist and photographer Tokiko Iino to show how my pieces can be enjoyed in everyday life.

I look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new friends!

A special surprise for our early-entry guests! 🎉

Guests with an early-entry reservation for this Saturday, October 10, from 10–11 AM will also join a live food plating lesson with Japanese Food Presentation Artist Tokiko Iino. ✨

Discover how thoughtfully pairing food and tableware can turn an everyday meal into a beautiful work of art.

Meet Tokiko Iino:
Born and raised in Kamakura, Japan, Tokiko studied graphic design at Tama Art University and began her career as an assistant to renowned designer Kiyoshi Awazu.

Her work spans food styling, photography, and display design. She spent seven years creating displays for Shimogamo Saryo at Isetan Shinjuku and has provided consulting and staff training for Shussai Kiln in Shimane.

She has also led food presentation workshops in Brooklyn and Toulouse, France, and was featured in The Japan Times’ “Women of Taste” column in 2019.

Orange Market Tableware 10/10 Exhibition

After our look at lines, here’s another group of pieces we’ve been looking forward to since last year: Silver & Black.

Textured silver surfaces and bold black patterns give these pieces a strong presence—distinctly Shun Yoshino. We love pottery with personality, the kind that brings a different mood to an everyday meal.

We also have a surprise planned for the exhibition. Keep an eye out—we’ll share more soon!

WORK APPRECIATION — LINES

One of the first details we wanted to share from this upcoming exhibition: the lines.

Flowing, irregular, and full of rhythm — each line follows the form of the piece differently, turning simple vessels into something expressive and unmistakably individual.

Throughout this exhibition, you’ll discover many different patterns, textures, and visual themes.
This is just the first one we wanted to take a closer look at.

The more you look, the more you notice — the movement of the brush, the balance of color, and the way every line feels spontaneous, yet completely intentional.

A beautiful glimpse into the instinct and craftsmanship of a truly gifted ceramic artist.
