Eckert Wordell was founded in 1984, by Jeff Eckert and Rick Wordell, and provides a full and integrated range of design services, including architectural, mechanical and electrical engineering, interior design, and consulting services. Our experience includes municipal, health care, commercial, and industrial work and has encompassed new facilities, building additions, and interior and exterior im
provements alike. While our role is typically that of lead designer, we provide a full range of architectural, mechanical and electrical engineering, interior design, and consulting services, allowing us to customize our involvement to fit each client's individual goals. This diversity has led to projects all across the country as well as in our hometown of Kalamazoo, Michigan. At Eckert Wordell, we believe that every project is unique. Our design methodology is similar from job to job, yet the outcome is determined by the specific requirements and conditions that are particular to each project. We understand this and view every design with a fresh perspective. We are challenged by finding solutions that not only serve their intended function, but excite and engage those who experience the built product. To us, architecture should add meaning to the built environment, and we strive to find this meaning with every new design.
