We keep coming back to blue — not as a single color, but as a thread.

In these projects, it shows up in different forms: deep blue millwork that carries from kitchen to mudroom, a stone countertop with soft blue veining that quietly ties it together, and a foyer wrapped in a muted patterned wallpaper that sets the tone the moment you walk in.

Rather than one oversized open plan, we focused on separation through detail: patterned floors, framed openings, textured rugs, warm wood tones, and architectural moments that make the home feel evolved over time.

There is something about a space built around vintage pieces that no amount of planning can fully replicate — the layers come from years of looking. Our dining nook is a love letter to a few of our favorite pieces.

The rattan chairs, the arched mirror, the artwork - most of it was found rather than specified, collected slowly over years of market visits and the kind of sourcing that never really stops.

An unexpected element that often finds its way into our work: pink 🩷

We love incorporating pink in ways that feel layered and unexpected — sometimes subtle, sometimes more saturated, always surprisingly versatile!

In this color study, it appears in a range of tones and moods: a guest bedroom wrapped in pink wallpaper, two powder rooms from Project Oak — one layered in pink tile and another finished in a soft salmon-toned wallcovering by Phillip Jeffries — a moment inside the Greenview “she shed,” where a pink sofa and layered textiles create a quiet retreat, and finally Project Bayside’s great room, where neutral architecture is balanced by oversized pink seating.

Project Magnolia — nothing overly complicated, just considered.🌿🤍🏠

Across each space, layered millwork, antique wood tones, soft contrast, and natural materials create a sense of continuity — allowing every room to feel distinct while still connected to the whole.

Nothing here is overly precious; the home is grounded more in feeling than form, designed to flow naturally from one space to the next.

Our philosophy for this kitchen started with a question: what if convenience wasn't the point?

European kitchens — French farmhouse kitchens especially — don't optimize for efficiency. They're built around experience. The act of pulling dishes off an open shelf, walking to a different corner of the kitchen for storage, setting the table the long way. There's something in that friction that makes cooking feel like something worth doing.

So we leaned into it. No upper cabinets — just beautiful shelving, and the sense of space that comes with it. An island that reads as furniture, not infrastructure. And underfoot, tumbled French vanilla slate that looks like limestone — the same stone Nick laid himself, twenty years ago.

This kitchen was designed to feel lived-in before you've lived in it at all.

Those of you who didn't grow up with a mom who rocked it in the 70's and 80's...who's was divorced with 3 kids under 12 at 36... you just don't realize how normal it was to have your life look like the Goonies, ET, Fast Times, Caddyshack, and Meatballs... I feel sorry for you. Totally tracks that an extraterrestrial might be living in your house for weeks before your mom notices. Happy Mother's Day to the mom who made us and raised us! And to the one that made me a mom. I hope you always love me not just in spite of my many flaws but because of them... and remember where you got your looks and sense of humor from! 😉
