Hello friends of Rusty Mule at 8640 Hwy 789 in Lander. I am writing to update you on my recent health status. Having attended several medical appointments since my last post, I have learned that the damage to my hips is severe and affects both sides, as well as my lower spine. I am preparing for approximately three years of surgery and recovery, beginning on May 22, 2025. Although this presents a challenge, I am pleased to announce that Rusty Mule will continue to operate as I arrange the transfer of the business to new ownership. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time. I will provide another update with a confirmed reopening date soon.

Dear valued friends and community, I am writing to inform you that Rusty Mule, located at 8640 Highway 789, Lander, will be temporarily closed. Due to untreated hip dysplasia, I have been experiencing significant pain and have recently received a diagnosis necessitating a total hip replacement. In preparation for surgery, I will be attending numerous medical appointments, and subsequent recovery will require additional time. Although I will periodically visit the store to ensure operations are running smoothly, I invite you to stop by if you see the open sign and say hello. I anticipate reopening upon full recovery.
