Jarmel Kizel was proud to join Eden Blue and the project team in Mineola, New York, to celebrate the groundbreaking of 110 Willis Avenue!

The six-story mixed-use development will feature 172 residential units, ground-floor retail and restaurant space, structured parking, and rooftop amenities. The project will also incorporate facilities supporting the Mineola Athletic Association, including concession areas, restrooms, athletic offices, and stadium-style seating overlooking the adjacent Little League ballfields.

Jarmel Kizel is acting as executive architect and working alongside Emilio Susa on the architectural design and is providing structural and MEP engineering services for the development.

We look forward to seeing 110 Willis Avenue take shape and are proud to be part of a project that will bring new housing opportunities, commercial activity, and valuable recreational facilities to the Mineola community.

Last week, Jarmel Kizel hosted our first-ever Field Day at Harbor Hills Day Camp!

It was a day filled with family, friendly competition, and plenty of fun outside the office. Our team put their architecture and engineering skills to the test with an Egg Drop Challenge, designing contraptions to protect an egg from a 40-foot drop. The competition continued with an intense volleyball tournament and kickball game.

Between competitions, our team and their families enjoyed the pools, ropes course, fields, and everything else the camp had to offer.

It was a great opportunity to step away from our desks, spend time together, and enjoy a fun day as a team. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our first Field Day one to remember!

Giving back to our community is a core part of who we are at Jarmel Kizel.

Our Volunteer Committee recently organized a donation drive to support the animals at St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center, collecting much-needed supplies from our team. The other week, members of the committee had the opportunity to deliver the donations, tour the facility, and, of course, spend some time with a few of the adorable furry friends waiting for their forever homes.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this drive a success. We're proud to support organizations like St. Hubert's that make such a meaningful impact in our community.

Sustainable design starts with strong collaboration.

We are proud to share that the Sixteenth Street Logistics Center in Carlstadt, NJ has achieved LEED v4 BD+C: Core and Shell Certification, recognizing the project's commitment to energy efficiency, water conservation, and responsible design.

Jarmel Kizel was proud to provide architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering services for this project, helping deliver a high performance logistics facility designed with long term sustainability in mind.

Congratulations to our client, Brookfield Properties, on this achievement, and thank you to BranchPattern, Irwin & Leighton, Langan Engineering & Environmental Services, and everyone involved in bringing this project to life. We are grateful to have been part of such a collaborative effort.
