The Ayana Conference Center in Bali sets a new benchmark for sustainable hospitality design by blending tradition, nature, and flexibility. Rooted in the Balinese philosophy of Sanga Mandala - a spatial concept that balances the spiritual, human, and natural worlds - the venue is thoughtfully designed to work in harmony with its climate. It features natural shade, cross-ventilation, and a green roof to reduce environmental impact.

Out of respect for the site’s unique conditions, the project is hidden in natural landscape and built with locally sourced materials like bangkirai and coconut. As a model for future design, Ayana embraces its location and climate, recognizing that our surroundings shape how we experience and engage with our work.

The Kroenke Organization has announced plans for Rams Village, a 52-acre development at Warner Center, conforming to and implementing the Warner Center 2035 Specific Plan. At the heart of the project is the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams’ 350,000-square-foot permanent headquarters and training facility, featuring an additional 150,000-square-foot indoor practice field. Beyond the Rams headquarters, the mixed-use neighborhood will feature mid- and high-rise residential next to retail, office space, a hotel, and two indoor performance venues that will bring new entertainment options to the community.⁠

Rams Village at Warner Center is set to redefine the San Fernando Valley’s urban landscape, serving as a catalyst for economic growth, cultural enrichment, and community engagement. Beyond creating a permanent home for the Rams, it’s poised to elevate Warner Center into a premier destination.⁠

Two stacks of internal stairs connect four levels of curated lounge space to create an integrated workplace that fosters and promotes connection and impromptu collaboration. ⁠

Guided by the goals of access to natural light, a connected workplace, and curated amenities and collaboration spaces, Gensler designed an 8-story Los Angeles Headquarters for a global professional services firm. The design team oriented the key collaborative spaces towards the ocean and adjacent golf course, promoting wellbeing through energizing views and natural light.⁠
⁠
The supportive workplace creates multiple options for collaboration and connection, including flexible workspaces and small meeting rooms. The design team embraced the Southern California location and incorporated a coastal charm throughout the design, drawing on regional neighborhoods to define the collaboration spaces, including Big Bear, Arts District, Venice Beach.⁠

Entering the school year, students have an enhanced learning experience in Cal State University Northridge’s Maple Hall.

With a campus in the San Fernando Valley, CSUN wanted an elevated space to provide community engagement and wellbeing in the desert heat. A mid-century inspired utilitarian building with classrooms, lecture halls, and study accommodations, this new space provides both indoor and outdoor social settings for students to gather and learn.

The reception desk features a transparent glass wall imbedded with LED lights that come to life with music, images and scrolling song lyrics. When the images stop, you can see through the glass to the two-story atrium beyond. ⁠
⁠
Performance and display galleries highlight the company’s rich musical history and ever-growing roster of new artists. The new workspace offers a variety of lounges, zoom rooms, and reconfigurable conference rooms for use by a mobile workforce. Oversized industrial doors swing outward for a seamless transition onto patios. From an upper floor terrace, you can feel the breeze coming off the Pacific Ocean. ⁠
