6 CHINESE-STYLE RECIPES WITH VEGETABLES ๐ฅก๐ฅฆ๐ฅ
Glossy, saucy, colorful, and full of flavor! These homemade Chinese-style recipes are perfect for lunch, dinner, or meal prep.
1. Chicken and Broccoli Stir-Fry ๐๐ฅฆ
Ingredients:
700 g chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
3 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp ginger, minced
Sesame seeds
Green onions
Sauce:
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup chicken broth or water
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar or honey
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp sesame oil
Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
Mix all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Cook the chicken until golden and fully cooked.
Add garlic, ginger, and broccoli. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
Pour in the sauce and cook until glossy and thick.
Serve with white rice and finish with sesame seeds and green onions.
2. Beef and Mixed Vegetables ๐ฅฉ๐ฅ๐ซ
Ingredients:
700 g beef steak, sliced into thin strips
1 cup broccoli florets
1 carrot, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 cup snap peas
2 tbsp oil
Sesame seeds
Green onions
Sauce:
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup water or beef broth
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp brown sugar
Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
Mix the sauce ingredients and set aside.
Heat oil in a large skillet or wok.
Add the beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, stir-fry the vegetables until colorful and slightly tender.
Add the beef back to the pan.
Pour in the sauce and cook until thick, glossy, and well coated.
Serve hot with rice or noodles.
3. Sweet and Sour Chicken with Vegetables ๐๐๐ซ
Ingredients:
700 g chicken breast, cut into cubes
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 egg, beaten
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 carrot, sliced
1/2 onion, chopped
1 cup pineapple chunks
Oil for frying
Green onions for garnish
Sweet and Sour Sauce:
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup rice vinegar or white vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/4 cup pineapple juice
1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
Instructions:
Coat the chicken pieces in beaten egg, then cornstarch.
Fry until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
In another pan, add the bell peppers, onion, carrot, and pineapple. Stir-fry for 2โ3 minutes.
Add the sauce ingredients and cook until bubbling.
Add the crispy chicken and toss until fully coated.
Serve immediately while the chicken is glossy and saucy.
4. Shrimp Vegetable Lo Mein ๐ค๐๐ฅฌ
Ingredients:
500 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
400 g cooked lo mein noodles or spaghetti
2 cups cabbage, sliced
1 carrot, julienned
1 bell pepper, sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
2 green onions, chopped
2 tbsp oil
Sesame seeds
Lo Mein Sauce:
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
Mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl.
Heat oil in a large pan or wok.
Cook the shrimp until pink and tender. Remove and set aside.
Add cabbage, carrot, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Stir-fry for a few minutes.
Add the cooked noodles, shrimp, and sauce.
Toss everything together until the noodles look glossy and well coated.
Finish with green onions and sesame seeds.
5. Garlic Vegetable Fried Rice with Chicken ๐๐๐ฅ
Ingredients:
3 cups cooked cold rice
500 g chicken breast, cut into small pieces
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup peas and carrots
2 green onions, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp oil
Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
Heat oil in a large pan or wok.
Cook the chicken until golden and fully cooked.
Push the chicken to one side and scramble the eggs in the same pan.
Add garlic, peas, carrots, and cooked rice.
Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper.
Stir-fry everything until the rice is flavorful and slightly toasted.
Finish with green onions and serve hot.
6. Orange Chicken with Stir-Fried Vegetables ๐๐๐ฅฆ
Ingredients:

1/2 cup cornstarch
1 egg, beaten

1/2 cup orange juice

1 tsp ginger, minced
1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
Instructions:
Coat the chicken pieces in beaten egg, then cornstarch.
Fry until crispy and golden. Set aside.
In a pan, stir-fry the broccoli, carrot, and bell pepper until tender-crisp.
In another pan, add orange juice, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, orange zest, garlic, and ginger.
