Before you start designing your home’s interior, it’s so important to understand its architectural style.
If you’re not sure where to start—here are the 3 things I always recommend identifying first:
1️⃣ The structure and roofline (this tells you a lot about the era and influence)
2️⃣ The window and door styles (these define character and symmetry)
3️⃣ The materials and details (brick, stucco, wood, arches, trim—all clues!)

Once you know these, you’ll start to see your home’s true personality.
✨ Don’t force your house to be something it’s not—design with it, not against it.
